What you'll do

Provide on-site technical support for hardware and software issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimize downtime for clients.
Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, and network devices.
Collaborate with the IT team to implement and maintain system upgrades, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
Assist in the installation and configuration of new hardware and software, ensuring that all systems are set up according to company standards.
Document all support activities and resolutions in the ticketing system, maintaining accurate records for future reference.
Train end-users on new technologies and software applications, enhancing their understanding and usage of IT resources.
Participate in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
Respond to emergency support requests promptly, demonstrating a strong sense of urgency and commitment to customer satisfaction.
Maintain inventory of IT supplies and equipment, ensuring that all necessary tools are available for field operations.
Work closely with vendors and service providers to coordinate repairs and maintenance of IT equipment as needed.
Provide feedback to management regarding recurring issues and suggest improvements to enhance service quality.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve service offerings and technical knowledge.

Requirements

A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support or a related field, with a strong focus on field support.
Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues across various platforms, including Windows and Mac OS.
Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN configurations.
Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems to manage and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues before they escalate.

Nice to have

Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are a plus.
Familiarity with cloud services and virtualization technologies, such as AWS or VMware, is advantageous.
Experience in a customer-facing role, demonstrating a commitment to providing exceptional service.

Skills & tools

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other common productivity software.
Familiarity with remote desktop applications and support tools.
Knowledge of IT asset management and inventory tracking systems.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

The position may require occasional travel to client sites within the region, so a valid driver's license is necessary.
Flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate client needs and support emergencies.
