What you'll do

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product specifications and requirements to ensure thorough coverage of all functionalities.
• Collaborate closely with software developers and product managers to understand product features and design effective testing strategies.
• Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools, ensuring that all issues are communicated clearly and resolved in a timely manner.
• Perform both manual and automated testing, leveraging industry-standard tools and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Conduct regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionalities.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on design and implementation to improve overall product quality.
• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality within the team and promoting best practices in testing.
• Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to the development team, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in quality assurance methodologies, tools, and technologies to ensure Dropsuite remains at the forefront of quality practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that quality is integrated into the entire software development lifecycle.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and tools to streamline testing processes.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on testing progress, results, and quality metrics to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on both manual and automated testing.
• Proficiency in testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar frameworks.
• Solid understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
• Experience with performance testing and security testing is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud-based testing environments and tools.
• Familiarity with API testing and tools like Postman or SoapUI.
• Certification in quality assurance or software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus.
• Previous experience in a SaaS environment, particularly in a startup or fast-paced setting.
