About the role
Docker is on the lookout for a Senior Technical Sales Enablement Manager to spearhead the development and implementation of technical training and enablement initiatives for the Solutions Engineering and Technical Account Management teams. This role is pivotal in connecting product strategy with practical execution in the field, focusing on creating educational programs that enhance onboarding processes and boost the technical selling capabilities of the team.

What you'll do
- Develop and implement comprehensive technical enablement programs that are in line with the company's business goals and the specific needs of the field teams.
- Oversee the entire training initiative lifecycle, which includes creating content, delivering training sessions, and measuring the effectiveness of the programs.
- Translate intricate technical ideas into accessible training materials tailored for both pre-sales and post-sales personnel.
- Manage the onboarding experience for Solutions Engineers and Technical Account Managers, ensuring they reach full productivity swiftly.
- Collaborate closely with Product and Marketing teams to prepare go-to-market (GTM) staff for upcoming product launches.
- Regularly update and maintain training resources within the Learning Management System (LMS), utilizing performance analytics to enhance future training efforts.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning by encouraging feedback from participants and iterating on training content based on their experiences.
- Create and deliver presentations to senior leadership that showcase the impact of training programs through data-driven insights.
- Identify and implement best practices in technical sales enablement to ensure the team remains competitive and informed.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on product knowledge and sales strategies.
- Monitor industry trends and advancements to keep training content relevant and impactful.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical, pre-sales, or technical enablement position within a Software as a Service (SaaS) environment.
- Demonstrated success in developing and scaling technical training programs from inception to execution.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to tight deadlines.
- Strong capability to present data-driven insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and content management tools.
- Solid understanding of SaaS sales cycles and consultative selling approaches.
Nice to have
- Prior experience as a Solutions Engineer or Sales Engineer is advantageous.
- Familiarity with structured sales methodologies such as Command of the Message or similar frameworks.
- Knowledge of containerization, DevOps tools, or developer platforms is a plus.
- Experience in evaluating program effectiveness through readiness metrics and enablement data analysis.
