About the role

Joining DiliTrust as the Lead Mobile Engineer means you will own the strategic technical vision for our mobile transformation. You will be the key architect responsible for leading the full rebuild of our native mobile applications from the ground up using React Native. In this role, you will define the end-to-end mobile architecture, setting the standards for scalability, performance, and maintainability that will shape our product for years to come. You will leverage AI-powered development tools not just as an assistant, but as a core part of your engineering workflow to accelerate delivery and enhance quality. Your work will establish the foundational CI/CD pipelines and best practices that enable the entire mobile team to ship confidently and rapidly. You will collaborate deeply with cross-functional partners to translate business requirements into robust, world-class mobile experiences. As the project scales, you will progressively extend the mobile scope, bringing more of the DiliTrust platform to users' fingertips. Ultimately, you will mentor and grow the mobile engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence and technical rigor.

What you'll do

Architect and lead the full rebuild of our existing native mobile applications using React Native, defining the foundational structure and long-term vision.

Define and implement a robust mobile architecture that ensures scalability, performance, and maintainability across the codebase.

Set up and own the complete CI/CD pipeline for mobile, covering build, test, distribution, and store deployment processes.

Leverage AI-powered development tools such as code generation, assisted testing, and copilot-style workflows to accelerate development cycles and raise quality standards.

Establish and enforce mobile engineering best practices, including code structure, testing strategy, release management, and production monitoring.

Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and key stakeholders to design and deliver a world-class mobile user experience.

Progressively extend the mobile scope beyond the current feature set, driving the delivery of more DiliTrust platform capabilities directly to mobile users.

Mentor mobile engineers as the team scales, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and career development.

Stay ahead of the React Native ecosystem, mobile platform updates, and emerging AI tooling to ensure our stack remains cutting-edge and competitive.

Champion quality and reliability by implementing advanced automated testing strategies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

Drive the definition and tracking of mobile performance metrics, crash reporting, and monitoring to ensure a stable and high-performing application.

Own the technical documentation and knowledge transfer processes to ensure continuity and clarity for the entire engineering organization.

Partner with security and compliance teams to ensure that mobile implementations adhere to the highest standards of data protection and privacy.

Act as the technical leader in all mobile-related decisions, balancing business objectives with technical constraints and trade-offs.

Requirements

8+ years of professional experience in mobile development, with a strong foundation in modern mobile paradigms.

Proven track record as a React Native expert, with deep knowledge of the ecosystem, including navigation, state management, and native modules.

Demonstrated ability to start a mobile project from scratch, covering bootstrapping, architecture decisions, CI/CD setup, and store deployment.

Experience building and shipping production mobile apps on both iOS and Android in real-world, high-stakes environments.

Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms.

Expert-level proficiency in React Native and TypeScript, with a focus on writing clean, scalable, and maintainable code.

Strong understanding of native mobile platforms, including iOS and Android, and the ability to handle native bridging when required.

Solid experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines for mobile using tools like Fastlane, Bitrise, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.

Experience with automated testing strategies for mobile, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end testing frameworks.

Familiarity with mobile performance profiling, crash reporting, and monitoring tools to ensure optimal application health.

High standards for code quality, testing, documentation, and engineering craftsmanship.

Leadership & Collaboration

Ability to take full ownership of a technical domain and drive technical decisions autonomously within the team.

Strong communication skills to articulate technical trade-offs clearly to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience mentoring developers and establishing engineering practices within a growing team.
