What you'll do
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and client information.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate remediation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security measures are integrated into all aspects of software development and deployment.
- Monitor security incidents and breaches, leading investigations and coordinating responses to mitigate risks.
- Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to proactively address potential risks.
- Train and educate employees on security best practices and protocols to foster a culture of security awareness within the organization.
- Liaise with external security vendors and partners to enhance security capabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Prepare and present security reports to senior management, outlining risks, incidents, and the effectiveness of security measures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and others applicable to our industry.
- Develop incident response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure readiness in the event of a security breach.
- Manage security budgets and resources effectively to optimize security investments.
- Participate in security-related projects and initiatives, contributing expertise to enhance overall organizational security.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security management.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing security policies and procedures.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards, including ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
- Experience with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven track record of managing security incidents and leading investigations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
Nice to have
- Relevant security certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH.
- Experience in the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
