What you'll do

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and client information.
• Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate remediation strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security measures are integrated into all aspects of software development and deployment.
• Monitor security incidents and breaches, leading investigations and coordinating responses to mitigate risks.
• Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to proactively address potential risks.
• Train and educate employees on security best practices and protocols to foster a culture of security awareness within the organization.
• Liaise with external security vendors and partners to enhance security capabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Prepare and present security reports to senior management, outlining risks, incidents, and the effectiveness of security measures.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and others applicable to our industry.
• Develop incident response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure readiness in the event of a security breach.
• Manage security budgets and resources effectively to optimize security investments.
• Participate in security-related projects and initiatives, contributing expertise to enhance overall organizational security.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security management.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing security policies and procedures.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards, including ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
• Experience with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven track record of managing security incidents and leading investigations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

Nice to have

• Relevant security certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH.
• Experience in the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with cloud security practices and technologies.
• Previous experience in a managerial role or leading a security team.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations beyond GDPR, such as CCPA or HIPAA.
