About the role
The Client Account Executive, Enterprise role is a strategic position designed to maximize the lifetime value of Dialpad's enterprise customers. This position operates at the forefront of client relationships, requiring a consultative approach to ensure customers achieve maximum value from Dialpad's AI-powered communication platform. The role is defined by ownership of a dedicated portfolio, where you will manage the complete customer journey to drive revenue growth and expand product adoption. Success in this position demands a balance of strategic relationship building and rigorous quota attainment while acting as a primary internal advocate for client needs. A critical component of the role involves nominating strategic customers for the Executive Sponsor Program and Customer Advisory Board, giving them a prominent voice within the company. This position is essential for fostering long-term partnerships, identifying expansion revenue, and ensuring high retention within your assigned accounts.
What you'll do
- Manage the full sales cycle for a dedicated portfolio of enterprise accounts, overseeing all stages from onboarding to expansion and renewal.
- Collaborate with Sales Managers, Sales Engineers, Customer Success, Professional Services, Marketing, and partners to grow the customer base and identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans designed to hit quarterly revenue targets and align with specific client business objectives.
- Identify expansion opportunities and generate new pipeline within existing accounts through data-driven insights and proactive relationship management.
- Act as a primary advisor to clients, translating complex product capabilities into clear business outcomes and advocating for their needs internally to influence product and service enhancements.
- Nominate and manage the progression of clients for the Executive Sponsor Program and Customer Advisory Board to elevate strategic customer relationships and influence.
- Leverage CRM software, specifically Salesforce, to maintain highly accurate records of all client interactions, progress, health metrics, and pipeline stages.
- Utilize G Suite applications, particularly Google Sheets, to organize data, track key performance indicators, and generate detailed reports on account performance and forecast accuracy.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to proactively adjust account strategies and maintain a competitive edge in the enterprise landscape.
- Communicate forecast updates and pipeline health to leadership with precision and transparency, ensuring reliable sales forecasting and data integrity for executive decision-making.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional sales experience in fast-paced environments, with a proven ability to manage complex deals and navigate multi-level stakeholder landscapes.
- Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding revenue goals in either new business development or client sales roles, highlighting consistent overachievement against quotas.
- Ability to influence decision-makers and present to key stakeholders at executive levels, articulating business value clearly, persuasively, and with data-backed insights.
- Experience managing complex details and providing accurate sales forecasts to leadership, ensuring data integrity, reliable pipeline management, and precise reporting.
- Proven capability to build and maintain high-level executive relationships, fostering trust and credibility with C-suite stakeholders and key decision-makers.
- Strong understanding of sales metrics and the ability to interpret data for strategic decision-making, using insights to drive account plans and growth initiatives.
