Sr. Account Executive, Mid-Market
Job description
About the role
The Sr. Account Executive, Mid-Market position at Dialpad is a full-time sales role based in Sydney, operating in a hybrid capacity with three days per week in the office. This role is situated within the Mid-Market Sales team and reports directly to the Head of Sales ANZ. The position is centered on the commercial ownership of the full sales cycle for mid-sized business prospects within the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) region. The core mission is to identify, engage, and convert opportunities by turning prospects into active Dialpad customers. Success in this role requires collaboration with Sales Engineers and executive leadership to architect and communicate solutions that address complex communication challenges. The focus is on driving the adoption of Dialpad's integrated product suite - specifically Dialpad Talk, Contact Center, and Sell - to facilitate organizational transformation. What you'll do
You will run the complete sales process from lead conversion through to building a qualified pipeline, acting as the primary driver of opportunity creation and progression. This involves designing and executing strategic outbound prospecting campaigns to generate your own pipeline opportunities. You will navigate and close multi-stakeholder deals, coordinating across various internal teams and external parties to ensure alignment and momentum. Key responsibilities include leading your own deal reviews, maintaining accurate forecasts, and managing your professional development path in partnership with leadership. You will conduct in-depth discovery sessions to uncover business pain points and map these needs to the capabilities of the Dialpad product suite. Additionally, you will articulate the total cost of ownership and return on investment to executive stakeholders to support purchasing decisions. The role requires close partnership with Customer Success to ensure smooth onboarding and adoption for new clients, reinforcing long-term retention. You will leverage data and analytics to refine messaging and prioritize high-intent accounts, while collaborating with marketing to develop content that supports the buyer's journey. The position encourages challenging the status quo to identify innovative solutions that meet evolving customer needs.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must bring 3-5 years of sales experience in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. A proven track record of managing and closing strategic sales cycles with multiple business units and decision-makers is essential. Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a quota-driven environment is required, along with a strong understanding of sales methodologies and pipeline management principles. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary to engage diverse audiences, and you must be capable of managing competing priorities and deadlines in a structured manner. Willingness to travel regionally as required to meet customer and team commitments is expected, as is a commitment to upholding the company's values and code of conduct in all interactions.
