About the role
You are a relationship focused sales professional who thrives while solving problems for homeowners and builders in the Kansas City area. In this role you will design customized door solutions and present them using product samples and design software to match customer needs. You will meet with new and existing customers, assess requirements, and sell technical and mechanical goods and services with clarity. You will build solid, long-lasting relationships with general contractors and builders within an assigned territory. In addition, you will provide timely and accurate estimates and proposals while maintaining and updating the Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) on a daily basis. Other duties as assigned will be part of your ownership as you represent the brand in the field.

What you'll do
- Analyze customer requirements and engineer tailored door solutions that align with project specifications.
- Promote the line of products and services to potential customers daily through consultative outreach and market engagement.
- Conduct in-home and on-site sales presentations that include product samples and design software to illustrate value.
- Assess the needs of existing and prospective customers and present technical and mechanical goods and services in an understandable format.
- Establish and nurture relationships with general contractors and builders to foster trust within your assigned territory.
- Translate project details into clear, accurate estimates and proposals that address scope and compliance.
- Update and maintain the Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) daily to reflect customer interactions and pipeline activity.
- Support marketing initiatives and product launches by collecting on site feedback and sharing insights with the team.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve inquiries, streamline order processing, and uphold service standards.
- Perform other job related tasks as assigned to support team objectives and business growth.
- Represent the company professionally in all field interactions to protect brand reputation and customer satisfaction.
- Document customer preferences, project timelines, and decision metrics to inform future sales strategies.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to refine product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of door industry trends, local building practices, and competitor activity.
- Support territory goals by contributing to revenue forecasts and pipeline development activities.
Requirements
- Two (2) years outside selling experience to homeowners and general contractors.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience reading blueprints, plans, and specifications highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills that enable easy rapport building with new and existing customers.
- Must possess a valid driver's license for travel within the territory.
- Must have excellent organizational, communication, and relationship building skills.
- Ability to lift, carry, and demonstrate door products safely during customer visits.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends to meet customer needs.
- Commitment to ethical sales practices and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with representing a branded solution provider in the field.
- Reliable transportation and a clean driving record required for territory coverage.
- Willingness to pass employment verifications, background checks, drug screening, and driving record review if applicable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and prioritize multiple opportunities in a dynamic environment.

Practical notes
This role may require evening and weekend hours to accommodate customer schedules.
