About the role
Deliveroo is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team in Brescia. You will play a key role in expanding our network by partnering with the most prestigious restaurants and shops in the region. In this capacity, you will act as the primary commercial force driving growth within your designated territory, translating market insights into actionable sales strategies. You will own the end-to-end sales cycle, building relationships from initial contact through to long-term partnership management. The role requires a proactive mindset to uncover new opportunities and convert them into tangible results for both the partners and the business. You will be instrumental in establishing Deliveroo as the platform of choice for premium dining and retail experiences in your area. Success in this position will be measured by your ability to consistently exceed partnership targets and drive sustainable revenue growth.

What you'll do
- Identify, prospect, and secure partnerships with new restaurants and retailers in your assigned area through targeted outreach and strategic networking.
- Maintain deep local market knowledge to identify trending and high-demand dining spots, ensuring our portfolio remains relevant and competitive.
- Guide new partners through the onboarding process to ensure a positive initial experience, setting the foundation for a successful and enduring relationship.
- Conduct outreach via physical visits, phone, email, and social media to present our platform value proposition and unique benefits clearly and persuasively.
- Address and resolve partner concerns or objections during the sales cycle, demonstrating empathy and problem-solving to overcome barriers to commitment.
- Analyze sales data and performance metrics to refine your approach, identify gaps, and maximize the potential of your territory.
- Participate in industry events and food-related meet-ups to build brand awareness, strengthen our market position, and connect with key stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including operations and support, to ensure partner needs are met and service levels are maintained at the highest standard.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans that outline growth objectives, key initiatives, and resource allocation for your key partners.
- Monitor competitor activity and market dynamics to provide timely feedback that can shape our product offerings and commercial strategy.
- Build a robust pipeline of qualified leads through continuous prospecting and relationship nurturing activities.
- Leverage CRM tools to track interactions, forecast sales, and ensure accurate reporting on all commercial activities.
- Present detailed proposals and tailored solutions that align with the specific goals and challenges of each prospective partner.
- Act as a trusted advisor to restaurant and shop owners, providing insights that help them thrive in the evolving digital marketplace.
Requirements
- Proven sales experience with a focus on new business acquisition, demonstrating a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Ability to manage client communication across multiple channels including in-person meetings, phone, and email with professionalism and clarity.
- Experience presenting product value and industry insights to prospective clients in a compelling and data-driven manner.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and build win-win agreements that benefit both parties.
- Tenacity and a results-oriented mindset that drives consistent performance even in the face of challenges and rejection.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation, as the role requires significant travel within the Brescia territory.
- Eligibility to work legally in Italy, with necessary documentation to obtain a professional work visa if required for non-EU candidates.

- This role is governed by the CCNL Commercio e Terziario, Classification Level 4.
- This position is not eligible for equity or RSU grants.
