The engineer will operate within the Platform Graph team, focusing on the core backend systems that power relationship mapping and access-path analysis. What you'll do

• Develop and maintain robust microservices using C# and the .NET ecosystem within the Delinea cloud and security framework.
• Integrate AI coding assistants and agents into daily workflows for development, code reviews, and architectural design tasks.
• Design and implement graph data models and schemas that effectively support complex relationship mapping and access-path analysis.
• Architect system designs that satisfy strict performance and latency requirements when processing massive datasets at scale.
• Own and evolve the API layer by delivering clean, versioned REST and GraphQL interfaces for consumption by internal product teams.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to define service contracts and data contracts ensuring seamless integration across the platform.
• Implement comprehensive observability patterns including logging, metrics, and distributed tracing to maintain system health.
• Drive best practices for code quality, testing strategies, and continuous integration pipelines within the team.
• Optimize database interactions and query execution plans for both relational and NoSQL data stores.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response to ensure high availability of critical graph services.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and frameworks to continuously improve the developer experience and platform capabilities.
• Mentor junior engineers on distributed systems concepts, graph modeling techniques, and AI-augmented development practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Minimum five years of professional experience building and shipping production-grade backend software using C#/.NET or comparable object-oriented languages.
• Demonstrated track record of designing, building, and operating microservices architectures in a cloud environment.
• Practical, hands-on proficiency with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code for accelerated development.
• Deep expertise in data modeling, schema design, and managing distributed data consistency challenges.
• Solid experience with cloud-native deployment patterns utilizing Kubernetes and container orchestration on Microsoft Azure or equivalent hyperscalers.
• Strong command of database technologies including relational systems like Azure SQL or PostgreSQL and NoSQL options such as Cosmos DB or MongoDB.
• Thorough understanding of large-scale system architecture principles and efficient graph-based data traversal techniques.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work autonomously in a remote-first environment while maintaining high alignment with distributed team members.

Nice to have

• Prior exposure to graph databases or query languages including Neo4j, JanusGraph, Amazon Neptune, Apache TinkerPop, or Cypher.
• Background working with large-scale distributed NoSQL systems such as ScyllaDB or Apache Cassandra.
• Academic or practical knowledge of graph algorithms, network analysis, or fundamental graph theory concepts.
• Experience implementing database sharding, partitioning, replication strategies, and advanced performance tuning.
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture patterns, service mesh technologies, and API gateway management.
• Understanding of Zero Trust security principles and secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
• History of building platforms that serve AI, machine learning, or risk-scoring analytics workloads.
