Software Engineering
Job description
About the role
This position offers a chance to contribute to the core of voice AI technology. You will work on impactful projects within our engineering team, gaining hands-on experience with real-world applications. Expect to be involved in building and shipping features that directly benefit our users. You will collaborate with experienced engineers to refine your technical skills and architectural judgment. The role emphasizes ownership over your work from initial design through deployment and monitoring. You will investigate ambiguous requirements and translate them into concrete technical solutions. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and seeks meaningful responsibility. You will be part of a team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in speech recognition and interaction.
Key facts
What you'll do

- Proficiency in at least one programming language, with the demonstrated ability to quickly learn new languages and adapt to different codebases and conventions.
- Clear communication skills, able to explain your technical work, the challenges encountered, and your planned next steps to diverse audiences.
- A drive to solve complex, open-ended problems and a commitment to continuous improvement in both code quality and personal workflow.
- The ability to provide and accept constructive feedback in a professional manner, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
- Comfort working in a fully remote setting, managing your own schedule while meeting team expectations for availability and responsiveness.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git, and a disciplined approach to managing changes and merge conflicts.
- An understanding of software development lifecycle, including testing, debugging, logging, and the deployment of reliable applications.
- The capacity to read and interpret technical documentation, API specifications, and research papers to implement new features independently.
- Willingness to adhere to the coding standards and technical guidelines established by the engineering team to ensure consistency.
- Eligibility to work in the USA, with the ability to commute or relocate to the listed locations if required for any in-person activities.
- Access to a reliable internet connection and a suitable workspace for remote collaboration during core working hours.
