Key facts
What you'll do
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement effective strategies that enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring that all departments are functioning smoothly and adhering to company standards.
- Manage staff schedules and training programs to ensure all team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Monitor guest feedback and reviews, addressing any concerns promptly to maintain a high level of service.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to promote hotel services and special events, driving occupancy and revenue growth.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for both guests and staff.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local vendors and suppliers to ensure the best quality products and services are available to guests.
- Assist in budgeting and financial planning, analyzing performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Organize and participate in staff meetings to foster communication and teamwork among all departments.
- Implement sustainability initiatives to reduce the hotel's environmental impact and promote eco-friendly practices.
- Engage with guests during their stay, providing personalized service and recommendations to enhance their experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel management or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on guest relations.
- Solid understanding of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, and food and beverage services.
- Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- A degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
Nice to have
- Experience in a luxury hotel setting is a plus.
- Knowledge of multiple languages to enhance guest interactions.
- Familiarity with revenue management and marketing strategies.
- Previous experience in implementing sustainability practices within a hospitality setting.
