What you'll do
- Lead and manage the bar team, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and high performance.
- Develop and implement creative cocktail menus and beverage offerings that reflect current trends and customer preferences.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and that orders are placed in a timely manner to prevent shortages.
- Monitor and control bar expenses, including labor costs and inventory, to maximize profitability while maintaining quality service.
- Train and mentor staff on mixology techniques, customer service standards, and health and safety regulations to ensure compliance and excellence.
- Create and maintain a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the overall guest experience, encouraging repeat visits and positive reviews.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop food and drink pairings that enhance the dining experience and promote special events.
- Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally, using them as opportunities to improve service and address any issues promptly.
- Organize and promote events such as tastings, happy hours, and themed nights to drive traffic and increase sales.
- Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a clean and safe working environment for staff and guests.
- Analyze sales reports and customer feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement, adjusting strategies accordingly.
- Build relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and ensure the bar is stocked with high-quality products.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bar Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of mixology, beverage trends, and bar operations, with a passion for creating unique drink experiences.
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on creating memorable experiences for guests.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient in using point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and staff.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food and beverage service.
