About the role
You will lead the growth and adoption of the Flex card, a pay-in-4 product designed for members who lack access to traditional credit. This role owns the end-to-end success of the Flex card, translating member needs and business goals into a compelling product vision. You will manage the product roadmap from initial discovery through development, market launch, and long-term retention efforts. Cross-functional collaboration is central, as you work with engineering, design, credit, underwriting, legal, and operations to build a card that serves as a primary financial tool. You will leverage data and user research to make informed decisions that optimize the member journey. The role requires balancing user experience, risk management, and business objectives to drive sustainable growth. You will partner with other product lines to ensure a seamless experience across the DAVE ecosystem. Ultimately, you will be responsible for defining the Flex card's strategy and execution to maximize adoption and long-term engagement.

What you'll do
- Manage the Flex card feature lifecycle from discovery and development to market launch and iteration, ensuring alignment with user needs and business goals.
- Oversee key performance indicators including offer-to-activation rates, repayment patterns, and member retention to guide data-driven product decisions.
- Partner with engineering, design, credit, underwriting, legal, and operations to prioritize backlogs and execute product goals efficiently.
- Utilize qualitative research and quantitative data to identify and act on high-impact opportunities within the member funnel, optimizing for conversion and engagement.
- Coordinate with other product lines, including ExtraCash and Dave Banking, to ensure a cohesive multi-product experience that meets broader user needs.
- Lead squads through rapid discovery and delivery cycles to ensure consistent product evolution and timely market responses.
- Define and track success metrics for the Flex card, establishing clear targets and monitoring progress against objectives.
- Synthesize complex data sets and user feedback into actionable insights that inform product decisions and roadmap priorities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate product vision, progress, and outcomes, fostering alignment across the organization.
- Drive experiments and iterative improvements to the Flex card, testing hypotheses and scaling successful initiatives.
- Ensure compliance and risk considerations are integrated into product decisions, working closely with risk and legal teams.
- Champion the Flex card in cross-functional discussions, advocating for user needs and product opportunities.
- Identify trends in the consumer financial products space and translate them into innovative features for the Flex card.
- Support the launch of new product features, conducting post-launch reviews to assess performance and inform future iterations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product management, demonstrating a track record of delivering impactful products in complex environments.
- 2+ years of experience in fintech, lending, cards, or consumer financial products, with a strong understanding of the industry landscape.
- Demonstrated success in improving growth, conversion, and retention metrics through product-led initiatives.
- Ability to manage complex product surfaces while balancing user experience, risk, and business objectives in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience collaborating with senior leadership to define and launch new initiatives, influencing without direct authority.
- Proficiency in data analysis using SQL or tools such as Looker, Mode, or Tableau to derive insights and support decision-making.
- Ability to integrate AI tools into workflows to improve speed and output quality, enhancing productivity and decision accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate product rationale to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience working in a remote-first environment, managing time effectively and maintaining strong team collaboration.
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to make decisions based on incomplete information while managing multiple priorities.
