What you'll do

Utilize SAS software to perform data manipulation, statistical analysis, and reporting, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data outputs.
Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into analytical solutions that drive strategic decision-making.
Develop and implement predictive models using SAS to forecast trends and identify opportunities for improvement in client operations.
Create comprehensive documentation for all analytical processes, ensuring that methodologies and results are clearly communicated to stakeholders.
Conduct data quality assessments and validation checks to ensure the reliability of datasets used in analyses.
Present findings and insights to clients and internal teams, using data visualization tools to enhance understanding and engagement.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in data analytics, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to contribute innovative ideas and approaches to data challenges.
Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on best practices in SAS programming and data analysis.
Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of data sources and analytical tools.
Assist in the development of training materials and workshops for clients to help them better utilize SAS for their own data needs.
Support project management activities, including timeline development, resource allocation, and progress tracking to ensure timely delivery of projects.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis and SAS programming, with a proven track record of delivering analytical solutions.
Strong understanding of statistical methods and their application in real-world scenarios.
Proficiency in SAS programming, including Base SAS, SAS Macro, and SAS SQL.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is highly desirable.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and experience working with large datasets.

Nice to have

Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a quantitative field.
Experience in a consulting environment, particularly in delivering data-driven solutions to clients.
Knowledge of other programming languages such as R or Python for data analysis.
Familiarity with machine learning techniques and their implementation in SAS.
Experience in specific industry sectors such as finance, healthcare, or retail.
