What you'll do
- Serve as a trusted advisor to management and employees on employee relations issues, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints and grievances, ensuring a fair and impartial process while documenting findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with HR teams to develop and implement employee engagement initiatives aimed at enhancing workplace satisfaction and retention.
- Facilitate training sessions for managers and employees on conflict resolution, effective communication, and diversity and inclusion practices.
- Analyze employee feedback and survey data to identify trends and areas for improvement within the organization.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with employees at all levels to foster open communication and trust.
- Assist in the development and revision of employee relations policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
- Provide support during organizational changes, including restructures, layoffs, and mergers, ensuring that employee concerns are addressed and managed effectively.
- Act as a liaison between employees and management, promoting a culture of transparency and accountability.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in employee relations to continuously enhance the effectiveness of the function.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership on employee relations metrics and initiatives.
- Participate in cross-functional projects that require employee relations expertise, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in employee relations, human resources, or a related field, preferably within a technology or data-driven organization.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations, as well as best practices in employee relations and conflict resolution.
- Proven experience in conducting investigations and managing sensitive employee issues with discretion and professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends to inform decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
