About the role
DataGuard is actively searching for a finance professional to spearhead the modernization of our global reporting infrastructure and to drive the automation of our financial planning cycles. In this capacity, you will own the critical responsibility of bridging the gap between fragmented raw data and actionable strategic insights through the development of scalable, robust systems. You will specifically focus on replacing outdated, manual spreadsheet processes with streamlined technological solutions that enhance accuracy and timeliness. The role requires you to act as a central integrator, ensuring that financial logic remains consistent and reliable across all management reporting, forecasting, and modeling activities. What you'll do
- Oversee the enhancement of the finance data architecture by systematically minimizing manual interventions and refining core system integrations.
- Architect and manage the linkage between critical financial systems and diverse data sources including Chargebee, Salesforce, DATEV, Xero, Fortnox, and Agicap.
- Safeguard the integrity of financial logic across all management reporting, forecasting, and modeling to deliver clear, reliable data to leadership.
- Design, implement, and automate recurring workflows such as cash forecasting, monthly reporting cycles, commission structures, and key performance indicator tracking.
- Spearhead the development and management of APIs and finance tools with the specific aim of eliminating manual data exports and complex reconciliation tasks.
- Champion the establishment of a finance environment where automated systems are responsible for routine data processing and validation.
- Enable the finance team to concentrate on delivering high-impact business decisions by removing operational friction and data noise.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure financial systems support broader operational and strategic goals.
- Act as the primary technical resource for finance-related system configurations and process improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within the financial technology landscape.
Requirements
- Bring a minimum of 3 years of cumulative experience in roles such as FP&A, Strategic Finance, Finance Operations, Business Analytics, or Commercial Finance.
- Demonstrate a solid background in SaaS or recurring revenue business models, including a working familiarity with metrics like ARR, MRR, churn, and CAC.
- Show proven proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, variance analysis, and the production of management reporting.
- Highlight practical experience in optimizing finance systems, streamlining automation workflows, or managing ERP implementation projects.
- Exhibit advanced Excel skills, including complex modeling, handling large datasets, creating sophisticated pivot tables, and building validation logic.
- Communicate fluently in English, ensuring clarity and precision in both written and verbal exchanges.
