About the role
We are on the lookout for a dedicated Recruiting Sourcer to play a crucial role in the expansion and success of Datadog by pinpointing exceptional talent. This position requires close collaboration with Recruiters to devise innovative strategies aimed at engaging passive candidates. As the first point of contact for potential candidates, you will be instrumental in narrating the Datadog story and showcasing our unique culture.

What you'll do
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of both active and passive candidates for hard-to-fill roles, utilizing various sourcing techniques such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Gem, and Google X Ray searching.
- Advocate for job openings within the organization and work alongside employees to tap into their professional networks for potential talent.
- Design and implement strategic sourcing plans while tracking progress to provide updates to stakeholders.
- Conduct thorough research to identify talent that may not be readily accessible, with a strong emphasis on attracting diverse candidates.
- Examine the talent market to gain insights into talent movement, attrition rates, and the companies that employ the desired skill sets.
- Manage event and project logistics, develop messaging strategies, and engage effectively with various stakeholders throughout the recruitment process.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their specific needs and tailor sourcing strategies accordingly.
- Utilize data-driven insights to refine sourcing techniques and improve overall recruitment effectiveness.
- Engage in continuous learning about industry trends and best practices in sourcing and recruitment.
- Foster relationships with candidates to ensure a positive experience throughout the hiring process.
- Participate in team meetings to share sourcing successes and challenges, contributing to a culture of collaboration and improvement.
- Stay updated on the latest recruitment technologies and tools to enhance sourcing capabilities.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a recruiting or sourcing role, either within a search firm or an internal recruiting team, particularly in high-volume recruitment settings.
- A strong sense of urgency, exceptional communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail are essential.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to sourcing and connecting with potential candidates.
- Ability to operate independently while managing multiple roles and priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated success in engaging talent through various sourcing tools, with a knack for converting passive candidates into active applicants.
- A creative mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a results-driven attitude are highly valued.
Nice to have
- Previous experience in technology recruitment or a solid understanding of the tech industry would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.
- Experience in conducting market research and talent mapping to inform sourcing strategies.
