About the role
In this pivotal role, you will lead the Sales Field Enablement team within the Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) region, driving the growth and effectiveness of our Sales and Customer Success teams. As a player-coach, you will report directly to the Director of GTM Enablement & Business Value for APJ and will collaborate closely with regional leadership to align strategies and enhance performance.

What you'll do
- Oversee, coach, and nurture a team of Sales Field Enablement Managers to implement impactful training initiatives that enhance sales performance.
- Organize and conduct regular coaching and shadowing sessions to maintain high standards of training quality and team productivity.
- Lead both in-person and virtual onboarding sessions, along with ongoing training programs, to ensure sales personnel are equipped with essential skills and knowledge.
- Partner with the global Sales Field Enablement team to improve field listening practices and incorporate regional insights into the overarching global strategy.
- Collaborate with Strategic Operations to evaluate performance metrics and gather field feedback, identifying key factors that influence regional sales outcomes.
- Deliver customized training sessions and workshops for sales leaders and team members to address specific needs and challenges.
- Act as a strategic consultant to sales leadership, aiding them in achieving their regional targets and objectives.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the sales team, ensuring alignment with best practices and market trends.
- Develop and refine training materials that resonate with the unique challenges faced by the APJ sales teams.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of training programs, making adjustments as necessary to optimize results.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure that sales enablement efforts are aligned with product launches and marketing initiatives.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitive landscape to inform training content and strategies.
Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in sales enablement, learning and development, or a similar educational role is essential.
- At least 1 year of experience in a managerial position, leading direct reports in a dynamic or uncertain work environment.
- Proven track record of building trust, delivering constructive feedback, and fostering professional development among team members.
- Strong emotional intelligence coupled with excellent listening capabilities to understand and address team needs effectively.
- An agile mindset towards developing and refining training programs, adapting to changing business requirements.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time for training and team engagement purposes.
Nice to have
- Experience working in a fast-paced SaaS or technology-driven organization would be advantageous.
- A background in Sales or Customer Success roles can provide valuable insights into the training needs of the team.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices or cloud technology stacks is a plus.
- Proficiency in using enablement tools such as Gong, Docebo, or MindTickle to enhance training effectiveness.
- Experience in delivering training on sales methodologies like MEDDIC or Command of the Message is desirable.
