About the role
You own the end-to-end commercial engagement for a strategic enterprise client under the CMEG umbrella, acting as the primary external face of Databricks. You guide deals forward by compressing decision cycles and expanding customer vision within the Gaming space. You are a sales professional who thrives on selling innovation and change through deep product understanding and value-based communication. You build strong relationships with key stakeholders such as CIOs and IT executives to drive value growth. You will prioritize opportunities and leverage internal resources to exceed revenue and pipeline targets. Your role involves tracking all customer details meticulously in Salesforce and promoting Databricks' Data Intelligence Platform powered by Apache Spark™ and Delta Lake.

What you'll do
- Build relationships with CIOs, IT executives, LOB executives, Program Managers, and other important partners to establish trust and drive strategic alignment.
- Drive value-based growth within the account by uncovering new use cases and expanding the Databricks footprint into additional business units.
- Exceed activity, pipeline, and revenue targets through consistent execution and disciplined opportunity management.
- Track all customer details including use case, purchase time frames, next steps, and forecasting in Salesforce to maintain accurate visibility.
- Use a solution-based approach to selling and creating value for customers by aligning Databricks capabilities with business outcomes.
- Promote Databricks' Data Intelligence Platform powered by Apache Spark™ and Delta Lake as core differentiators in the marketplace.
- Prioritize opportunities and leverage appropriate resources both internally and externally to ensure successful deal progression.
- Build a comprehensive plan for success internally at Databricks and externally with your strategic account to sustain long-term growth.
- Communicate the value of advanced analytics and AI to simplify technical capabilities into clear business benefits for decision makers.
- Act as an owner of the end-to-end sales cycle, ensuring seamless collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Maintain up-to-date records and forecasts in Salesforce to support accurate pipeline management and reporting.
- Identify and influence key decision-makers across the organization to accelerate the buying process.
- Leverage field sales experience within big data, Cloud, SaaS, and a consumption selling motion to tailor messaging and positioning.
- Develop and execute go-to-market campaigns that drive adoption and expansion within Fortune 500 gaming accounts.
Requirements
- You have previously excelled in an early-stage company where you navigated success with limited oversight and ambiguity.
- You bring previous field sales experience within big data, Cloud, SaaS, and a consumption selling motion to the table.
- You hold prior customer relationships with CIOs, program managers, and essential decision makers at local accounts.
- You possess the ability to simplify a technical capability into a value-based benefit that resonates with enterprise stakeholders.
- You have 7+ years of Enterprise Sales experience exceeding quotas in larger accounts across complex sales cycles.
- You are experienced in managing a small set of enterprise accounts rather than a broad territory, focusing on strategic growth.
- You hold a Bachelor's Degree, demonstrating a foundational level of academic achievement.
- You are based in or available for engagement in the Boston, Massachusetts area as this role is anchored remotely within that region.
- You understand the importance of tracking opportunities rigorously in Salesforce to maintain forecasting accuracy.
- You are comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment that demands consistent execution and results.

- Preferred candidates will have a demonstrated history of success in the Gaming industry, understanding its unique dynamics and buyer behaviors.
- Experience working with System Integrators and large-scale implementation partners is favored to ensure smooth execution.
