Key responsibilities include devising and presenting a structured territory plan within the initial 90 days. This plan directs focus toward high-value opportunities and strategic accounts. You will engage regularly with C-level stakeholders, including CIOs and IT executives. Interaction with Line of Business leaders and Program Managers aligns solutions with organizational goals. You will close deals across various account types, securing new logos while reinforcing relationships with established clients. Each interaction must communicate the Databricks data and AI platform's value proposition clearly. You will identify and capture immediate, small-scale victories while exercising patience for complex enterprise sales.
Rigorous pipeline management is a non-negotiable requirement. Recording every customer interaction, use case, and time frame into Salesforce ensures accurate forecasting and visibility. Your methodology must be solution-oriented, linking product features to tangible client value. Actively promoting the enterprise cloud data platform built on Apache Spark is a daily activity. You will analyze market trends to position Databricks as the leader in data and AI for finance. Collaboration with internal teams tailors demonstrations and proof-of-concept initiatives. You will manage multiple opportunities concurrently, maintaining a disciplined forecast. Communication will highlight the platform's ability to drive innovation and efficiency. Ultimately, you will be accountable for achieving assigned revenue targets.
Requirements
The candidate must possess a proven track record in field sales within big data and cloud technology domains. Demonstrable experience managing relationships with senior executives is mandatory. This includes direct interactions with CIOs, program managers, and principal decision-makers. Articulating intricate technical subjects into accessible narratives is a daily requirement. You must simplify concepts related to cloud infrastructure and data processing without losing technical accuracy. A minimum of seven years of enterprise sales experience is required, showing consistent success in exceeding sales quotas.
The role necessitates a record of both new business acquisition and growth of existing accounts. Candidates must close new deals while ensuring ongoing health of current client relationships. While not mandatory, prior understanding of Apache Spark and core big data concepts is highly advantageous. You must be comfortable with complex pricing models and contractual negotiations. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential. The ability to travel domestically for client meetings is a standard expectation. Proficiency in using CRM software to maintain detailed records is required. A results-driven attitude and resilience to handle rejection are critical.
Compensation and Location
The position is based in Bengaluru, India, and is a full-time engagement. The offered compensation is 24 lakh per year, reflecting the scope and responsibility of the enterprise sales role.
