What you'll do
- Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and create tailored programs that address specific skill gaps within teams.
- Design engaging training materials and resources that cater to various learning styles, ensuring accessibility and effectiveness for all employees.
- Facilitate workshops, seminars, and training sessions, both in-person and virtually, to enhance employee engagement and knowledge retention.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning by promoting professional development opportunities and encouraging employees to pursue further education and certifications.
- Manage the learning management system (LMS) to track employee progress, maintain training records, and generate reports on training effectiveness.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in talent development to ensure Cunninghamcontracts remains a leader in employee training and development.
- Collaborate with external training providers and consultants to enhance the breadth and depth of training offerings available to employees.
- Mentor and coach team members to develop their skills in training delivery and instructional design, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
- Organize and oversee employee onboarding programs to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the company culture and equipped with the necessary skills from day one.
- Lead initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within training programs, ensuring that all employees feel valued and supported in their learning journeys.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in learning and development, talent management, or a similar role.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing successful training programs in a corporate environment.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire employees at all levels.
- Proficiency in using learning management systems and other training technologies.
- Strong analytical skills to assess training effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated and proactive.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in the construction or contracting industry.
- Familiarity with e-learning development tools and software.
- Certification in training or instructional design (e.g., ATD, CPTD, or similar).
- Experience with coaching and mentoring programs.
