Senior Product Designer, Core Platform
Job description
About the role
Senior Product Designer, Core Platform
This role focuses on the foundational layer that powers every Cresta product. You are responsible for designing the shared structures and frameworks that enable AI agents, assistance, quality management, and insights. Your goal is to transform complex, cross-functional requirements into stable, reusable platforms. You will ensure that capabilities are delivered once as robust services, available to all internal teams and external customers.
The position is based in Berlin, Germany, and operates in a hybrid environment. It is a full-time role with a compensation range of 130k to 200k EUR annually.
Responsibilities
You will architect and maintain horizontal platforms that serve as the backbone for all product lines. This involves translating intricate business workflows into coherent, scalable structures. Your daily work will center on identifying universal needs and solving them at the platform level, preventing redundant solutions.
You will collaborate closely with platform product managers and technical leaders to define and evolve the long-term platform vision. A key part of your role involves rapidly building proof-of-concept prototypes using tools like Cursor or Claude. These explorations will validate ideas before they are developed into production-grade features.
You are expected to champion high design standards within the team. This means elevating the collective understanding of quality and defining what excellence looks like in practice. A significant portion of your influence will come from enabling other squads. You will work across different teams to understand their specific challenges and drive the adoption of shared design systems and patterns.
You will have the autonomy to make informed decisions about trade-offs. You will balance the need for speed with the requirement for robustness, understanding when a solution is sufficient to move forward. Your scope will cover a wide range of topics, including internationalization, identity and access management, data architecture, third-party integrations, notification systems, privacy safeguards, and developer tooling.
Qualifications
You must have a formal background in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or Interaction Design. Alternatively, you may present five or more years of relevant professional experience. Your portfolio should showcase your ability to handle complex, large-scale B2B or enterprise environments. You should demonstrate experience with data-dense interfaces and tools intended for developers.
You must be fluent in modern AI-assisted design workflows. Proficiency with tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and MCP is essential. Your design philosophy should be rooted in systems thinking. Your portfolio must illustrate your capacity to manage end-to-end flows, connecting user needs with business and technical constraints.
You possess a rare combination of UX expertise, including interaction, visual, and user research skills. You are technically literate and comfortable navigating complex architectures. You are a quick study who learns by doing and thrives in a highly collaborative, team-oriented culture.
