What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Java applications that meet the business requirements and adhere to best practices in software development.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while conducting thorough testing to ensure software quality and performance.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending improvements and innovations to enhance our software solutions.

• Assist in the evaluation and selection of new technologies and tools that can improve our development processes and product offerings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Java development, with a strong understanding of Java frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases, with the ability to design efficient data models.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, particularly Agile and Scrum.
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with front-end technologies like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, particularly in frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Previous experience in a financial services or fintech environment.
• Understanding of software security best practices and experience implementing security measures in applications.
