About the role
You are the operational force that turns vision into flawless live experiences for Johnny Chang Live. You own the complete lifecycle of every event, ensuring that biblical clarity reaches people in chaotic moments through meticulously planned gatherings. You will manage local church meetups, multi-city tours, and prison ministry visits with equal precision and care. This role requires a self-driven operator who does not wait for direction but anticipates needs and executes solutions independently. You will work hand-in-hand with leadership, aligning your event strategy with the overarching mission of the ministry. Your expertise will be the foundation upon which we scale our in-person outreach globally and deepen community connections. You are responsible for transforming initial concepts into tangible, life-changing experiences that honor the mission and engage every attendee.

What you'll do
Coordinate all event and tour logistics, including routing, scheduling, venue booking, travel, and accommodations for the entire team with precision and attention to detail.
Lead comprehensive pre-production for every event, drafting tech riders, vendor contracts, run-of-show documents, and organizing volunteer teams to ensure readiness.
Execute on-site production by managing vendors, partners, AV teams, and volunteers to deliver a seamless attendee experience from doors opening to final load-out without a single hitch.
Build and sustain a global network of partner churches, venues, prison chaplains, and event contacts to fuel future bookings and expand ministry reach organically.
Own all event-related communications, maintaining ClickUp updates with absolute clarity on timelines, status, and open items for every event.
Manage post-event responsibilities, including vendor payments, debrief documentation, attendee follow-up, and capturing lessons learned to refine future events.
Create standardized, repeatable systems such as checklists, templates, and vendor databases to ensure consistent excellence across events in any location or scale.
Drive strategic outreach by developing a compelling "Johnny Chang Live Event" partnership package and distributing it to high-potential churches and venues to generate qualified conversations.
Establish clear metrics and reporting structures to measure event success, operational efficiency, and pipeline growth, providing transparent insights to leadership.
Champion continuous improvement by analyzing each event's performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing actionable changes that enhance the attendee journey.
Requirements
Must be US-based, with Los Angeles preferred, and able to work remotely while maintaining strict communication and deadline standards.
Hold a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to support any necessary local travel for event setup, vendor meetings, and site visits.
Demonstrate extensive experience in live event production, having successfully managed complex events from initial concept through post-event wrap-up.
Possess exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple deadlines, shifting priorities, and detailed documentation without oversight.
Showcase strong written and verbal communication abilities, enabling clear coordination with leadership, vendors, volunteers, and potential partners.
Exhibit professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information, such as prison ministry logistics and private attendee details.
Have a proven track record of building relationships with external partners, including churches, venues, vendors, and community organizations.
Embody a strong work ethic and self-motivation, with the discipline to manage time effectively and deliver results in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Nice to have
Experience with prison ministry logistics and understanding of the unique requirements and safety protocols involved in those environments.
Familiarity with faith-based or nonprofit event production, including budget constraints and mission-driven messaging.
Knowledge of multi-city tour planning and the ability to coordinate complex routing and accommodations across regions.
Practical notes
Contract (Part-Time) role within the Live Events Department.
Hours are flexible but must align with event production schedules, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Travel may be required for venue visits, events, and partner meetings, primarily within the United States.
