About the role
You will own the end to end management of strategic customer relationships within Column's credit and lending ecosystem, acting as a trusted advisor to partners building financial products on our infrastructure. You will apply deep credit and capital markets expertise to analyze risk profiles, reserve requirements, and underwriting structures for each customer engagement. You will collaborate extensively with Cross functional teams including Executive leadership, Sales, Compliance, and Solutions Engineering to ensure seamless onboarding and ongoing support. You will design and implement scalable playbooks, processes, and best practices that standardize how Growth supports credit and lending customers over time. You will serve as the primary voice of the customer, translating their needs and market feedback into Column's product roadmap and strategic initiatives. You will ensure all day to day activities align with safe and sound banking practices and regulatory expectations for financial institutions. You will immerse yourself in the financial technology landscape, developing expertise in how companies partner with Column and leverage banking infrastructure. This is an in person role based in the San Francisco Presidio office, requiring 4 or more days of presence each week.

What you'll do
- Assume ownership of Column's credit and lending customer relationships from initial onboarding through long term growth and expansion.
- Deploy credit and capital markets fluency to evaluate customer risk models, reserve policies, and lending product architectures.
- Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Solutions Engineering teams to help customers navigate regulatory and technical complexity.
- Architect playbooks, processes, and best practices that standardize support for credit and lending customers across the Growth organization.
- Translate customer insights into internal recommendations that shape Column's product roadmap and go to market strategies.
- Execute day to day activities in strict accordance with safe and sound banking practices and regulatory requirements.
- Act as a bridge between technical and non technical stakeholders, facilitating clear communication across engineering, compliance, and business teams.
- Monitor customer health metrics and usage patterns to identify opportunities for product adoption and revenue expansion.
- Partner with Executive leadership to develop strategic narratives that highlight the value of credit and lending partnerships.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of industry trends, regulatory shifts, and competitive dynamics affecting financial infrastructure providers.
- Support the development of reference implementations and documentation that accelerate customer integration with lending products.
- Drive alignment between customer expectations and Column's operational capabilities through proactive relationship management.
- Identify and escalate cross functional dependencies that could impact customer success or product delivery timelines.
- Champion a solutions oriented mindset, responding quickly to inquiries while maintaining rigorous attention to compliance.
- Contribute to the broader growth strategy by sharing feedback from customer interactions with product and marketing stakeholders.
Requirements
- Possess 2 to 4 years of professional experience in credit, capital markets, or lending adjacent roles such as leveraged finance or private credit.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of how credit and lending products function, including reserve requirements, underwriting standards, and capital structures.
- Exhibit a growth oriented and critical thinking mindset when navigating ambiguous environments and building processes with limited initial guidance.
- Show strong project management abilities to manage complex customer partnerships and coordinate effectively with internal teams.
- Prove ability to turn initial skepticism into strong support through persuasive communication and solutions focused behavior.
- Maintain high curiosity levels to uncover root causes and ask insightful questions during customer and partner interactions.
- Adhere strictly to banking regulations and internal compliance policies in all customer facing activities.
- Thrive in an in person work environment with a minimum of 4 days per week in the San Francisco Presidio office.
