In this position, you will oversee the entire project lifecycle for federal clients, ensuring they derive maximum value from Collibra's suite of products. Your role will involve guiding government agencies through their data maturity journeys, acting as both a primary technical advisor and a staunch advocate for customer needs. You will be responsible for navigating the complex landscape of federal procurement and delivery frameworks, ensuring alignment between client expectations and Collibra's capabilities. This position demands a strategic thinker who can translate high-level business objectives into actionable technical roadmaps. You will champion the adoption of Collibra's data governance suite to solve critical federal data challenges. Your work will directly influence how government agencies manage, secure, and leverage their information assets. You will serve as the definitive expert on data governance implementation within the federal space for your assigned clients. Success in this role will be measured by your ability to drive tangible improvements in data maturity and mission outcomes.

What you'll do

• Lead engagements with federal clients by utilizing established delivery models and methodologies to ensure successful project execution.
• Guarantee that all services provided adhere to government security and regulatory standards, including FedRAMP, FISMA, and GovCloud compliance.
• Develop comprehensive data governance strategies that promote knowledge transfer and achieve targeted mission outcomes for federal agencies.
• Work closely with internal teams in Sales, Product, and Engineering to synchronize efforts with federal acquisition cycles and requirements.
• Identify and pursue growth opportunities within federal agencies by aligning product capabilities with their modernization initiatives.
• Achieve utilization targets while playing a key role in the growth of the public sector services division.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights and recommendations that enhance their data management practices.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions to empower clients in their understanding and use of Collibra products.
• Conduct discovery sessions to fully understand the specific data governance maturity and operational challenges of the client organization.
• Design solution architectures that address the unique regulatory and technical constraints of the federal environment.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear communication for both technical and executive stakeholders.
• Manage the configuration and implementation of Collibra platforms to meet the specific needs of federal data initiatives.
• Monitor project health proactively, identifying risks early and implementing mitigation strategies to keep delivery on track.
• Act as a liaison between the client and Collibra's product and engineering teams to ensure feedback loops are established.
• Document processes, decisions, and best practices to ensure consistency and scalability across engagements.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5-10 years of consulting experience working with U.S. federal agencies, specifically in the areas of data management, quality, or governance.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms, REST/JSON API integrations, and deployment automation processes.
• Strong proficiency in using Linux command-line interface (CLI) and familiarity with enterprise security solutions such as Kerberos or LDAP.
• Practical experience with cloud services like AWS and Azure, alongside container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and big data technologies including Spark and Hadoop.
• Knowledge of at least two or three of the following domains: data cataloging, master data management, data stewardship, business rules management, or data governance processes.
• Experience in data warehousing, ETL processes, and data integration techniques.
• Ability to craft both technical and functional specifications that meet client needs.
• U.S. citizenship is required, along with an active Secret, TS, or TS-SCI security clearance.
• Willingness to work on-site in Fayetteville, NC, five days a week.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced federal government environment.
• Understanding of the federal budget and procurement processes as they relate to professional services engagements.

Nice to have

Previous experience with Collibra or similar software solutions is advantageous.

Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management frameworks.

Experience in leading cross-functional teams in a federal environment.

This position does not offer commission-based compensation.

Candidates must be prepared to commute daily to the Fayetteville facility to fulfill the on-site requirement of the role.
