About the role
This role focuses on guiding U.S. federal agencies through their data journey, ensuring they achieve maximum value from Collibra's solutions. You will act as a key advisor, supporting customer projects from inception to completion and driving adoption.

What you'll do
- Lead client engagements by delivering consulting services that align with Collibra's established methods and government regulations, including FedRAMP and FISMA.
- Develop and present data governance strategies tailored for federal agencies, focusing on best practices and measurable mission outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Sales, Customer Engineering, and Product to align with federal procurement processes and stakeholder needs.
- Identify opportunities to expand the use of Collibra within agencies by connecting product capabilities with agency modernization goals and compliance requirements.
- Meet utilization targets to ensure client success, foster long-term program engagement, and contribute to consistent service delivery.
- Support the growth of Collibra's public sector business through account development and customer advocacy.
Requirements
- 5 to 10 years of consulting experience with U.S. federal agencies, specifically in data governance, data management, or data quality.
- Understanding of common PaaS providers, data lakes, databases, and integration platforms used by federal entities.
- At least 2 years of experience with cloud platforms, REST/JSON API integration, and deployment automation.
- Proficiency in Linux command-line interface.
- Practical experience with AWS/Azure, Kubernetes, and related infrastructure.
- Experience with big data technologies like Spark and Hadoop.
- Must be a U.S. citizen residing in the U.S. with an active Secret or higher security clearance.
- Familiarity with enterprise security solutions such as LDAP or Kerberos.
- Hands-on experience with data quality, data pipelines, data orchestration, or job control tools.
- Knowledge of at least two to three of the following: data governance, data stewardship, master data management, data cataloging, and business rules management.
- Ability to use Java, Python, or similar scripting languages to interact with APIs for custom software implementations in Linux or Unix environments.
- Experience with data warehousing, ETL, and data integration.
- Skill in creating functional and technical specifications.
- Previous experience with Collibra or similar technologies.
Nice to have
- Preference for candidates located in the Washington, D.C. metro area to facilitate occasional in-person client meetings.
- Strong communication skills, able to adapt messaging for both business and technical audiences.
- A customer-centric approach with a strong sense of accountability for client success.
- Aptitude for troubleshooting and resolving complex client technical issues.
- Proactive learning of new software skills to understand Collibra's application suite.
- Ability to work with business and IT stakeholders to address data challenges and advocate for data governance and quality.
- Experience leading design workshops and requirements gathering sessions.

Practical notes
Compensation: Base salary range of $152,000.00 - $190,000.00 annually. This role is not eligible for commission.
Benefits: Includes bonus potential, equity (for eligible roles), a monthly Flex Fund stipend, and pension/401k plans.
