You will own the end-to-end management of high-volume litigation matters across multiple jurisdictions from intake to resolution. You are responsible for maintaining the absolute integrity and accuracy of case records and dockets under intense pressure. This role requires you to build scalable processes that allow the Litigation team to operate efficiently despite growing global demands. You will serve as the critical operational backbone for both U.S. Consumer Litigation and Commercial Litigation functions. Expect to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment where precision is non-negotiable. You will partner closely with internal stakeholders and external counsel to drive complex legal workflows forward. What you'll do

• Own matter tracking and case file management across a high-volume docket spanning multiple jurisdictions, ensuring all records are accurate and current.
• Execute discovery and trial preparation tasks, including document production, deposition coordination, and exhibit management.
• Build improved processes and tooling to reduce manual effort and support the Litigation team's growing caseload.
• Support the team in responding to subpoenas, summons, levies, garnishments, and other civil third-party requests.
• Drive deadline management by calendaring all case milestones, court dates, and filing deadlines with zero misses.
• Partner with outside counsel and government agencies on case logistics, document exchanges, and scheduling.
• Manage small claims court matters, including preparing filings, coordinating appearances, and tracking case outcomes across applicable jurisdictions.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and data security protocols in all litigation support activities.
• Utilize legal technology platforms to track case progress and generate accurate status reports for stakeholders.
• Assist in the collection and preservation of documents for internal investigations and regulatory inquiries.
• Coordinate internal and external document review sessions to ensure efficient use of resources.
• Draft procedural motions and correspondence under the supervision of litigation attorneys.
• Monitor regulatory changes and industry trends that may impact ongoing litigation strategies.
• Provide training and documentation to streamline paralegal workflows across the Litigation group.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, including direct experience managing case dockets of 50+ matters across multiple jurisdictions.
• Demonstrated ability to handle discovery workflows end-to-end, including e-discovery platforms, document review, and production.
• Track record of building or improving operational processes that reduced manual effort or increased accuracy for legal teams.
• Experience responding to third-party legal requests such as subpoenas, summons, levies, and garnishments.
• Familiarity with litigation involving financial services, cryptocurrency, or technology companies.
• Proficiency with legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary for interacting with counsel, clients, and court personnel.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment.
• Experience handling small claims court matters, including drafting filings and coordinating court appearances.
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
• Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must reside in a state or country where compliance with Coinbase legal and regulatory standards is verifiable.
• Must pass a background check and consent to a credit check as required by company policy.
• Must adhere to all Coinbase policies regarding confidentiality, data security, and professional conduct.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in cryptocurrency or blockchain-related litigation support.
• Knowledge of e-discovery platforms such as Relativity or Everlaw.
• Experience with international litigation or cross-jurisdictional regulatory matters.
• Familiarity with civil litigation procedures in U.S. federal and state courts.
• Understanding of financial fraud or anti-money laundering investigations.

Practical notes

This role is remote-first, allowing you to work from anywhere in the U.S. You are expected to participate in quarterly in-person working sessions called "surges" at locations determined by Coinbase. These intensive collaborative periods are critical for team alignment and strategic planning. Travel expenses related to surge events may be reimbursed according to Coinbase policy. This position requires reliable high-speed internet and a suitable workspace for remote performance. No specific visa sponsorship is provided for this role.
