About the role
You own the end-to-end operational integrity of Coinbase Bermuda under the oversight of the Chief Operating Officer. This role requires you to drive all aspects of product and regulatory operations, service delivery, technology oversight, and third-party management to ensure seamless execution. You will establish and enforce policies that align local activities with both global strategy and Bermuda-specific regulatory expectations. The position demands intense ownership of critical business functions while maintaining strict adherence to compliance standards. You will act as the primary operational link between Bermuda entities and global leadership teams. Success in this role means building resilient systems that support sustainable growth and regulatory trust. You will be expected to push boundaries and deliver results in a fast-paced, high-stakes financial environment.

What you'll do
Orchestrate the oversight and management of all operational functions within Coinbase Bermuda (CBBM and CBSL), including outsourced arrangements to intragroup or third-party entities.
Implement robust policies, SLA frameworks, and performance standards to ensure delivery aligns with Bermuda regulations and contractual commitments.
Construct and maintain supervision frameworks across critical business areas, embedding regulatory requirements and operational best practices into daily workflows.
Establish comprehensive operational resilience frameworks, including risk identification, contingency planning, incident response coordination, and structured communication with regulators and service providers.
Partner directly with banking partners, regulators, and cross-functional teams such as Risk, Legal, Compliance, Security, Finance, Product, and Customer Experience to project-manage critical operations and risk initiatives.
Support first line of defense operations across key areas, including launch assessments and approvals, internal audits, regulatory examinations, and supervisory touchpoints.
Leverage generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
Utilize advanced tools such as copilots and intelligent agents (e.g., LibreChat, Gemini, Glean) in daily workflows, continuously adapting as technologies evolve to improve efficiency, cost, and quality.
Champion process discipline by developing, refining, and documenting operational procedures that meet regulator-ready standards and support transparent governance.
Act as a strategic partner to senior stakeholders, translating complex operational challenges into actionable plans with clear ownership and timelines.
Ensure continuity of business operations through rigorous testing, validation, and improvement of incident response and business continuity protocols.
Foster a culture of accountability and collaboration across distributed teams, ensuring alignment between Bermuda operations and global objectives.
Monitor vendor performance and risk metrics, driving continuous improvements in third-party management practices.
Represent Coinbase Bermuda in external discussions, ensuring all operational activities reflect the company's commitment to compliance, security, and innovation.
Requirements
Bring a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial services with demonstrated oversight of operations strategy, outsourcing, and vendor management within a regulated environment.
Possess proven experience within a regulated financial institution or investment business, with a strong focus on trade supervision across crypto, equities, or derivatives.
Show a track record of developing and improving operational processes, producing regulator-ready documentation, and managing cross-functional delivery with senior stakeholders.
Demonstrate familiarity with operational resilience frameworks, incident management, and business continuity planning in a financial services context.
Have prior experience navigating a BMA-regulated industry, including familiarity with Bermuda Monetary Authority requirements and supervisory expectations.
Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
Demonstrates the ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots (e.g., LibreChat, Gemini, Glean) in daily workflows, continuously learn as tools evolve, and apply human‑in‑the‑loop practices to deliver business‑ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality.
