About the role
The owns the full delivery lifecycle for a critical banking and payments modernization program, acting as the central coordination point for engineering and business stakeholders. You will be responsible for planning, tracking, and steering complex software initiatives from inception to production while maintaining a sharp focus on business outcomes. This role requires you to manage scope, risks, and dependencies with precision, ensuring that project objectives are met on time and within agreed parameters. You will serve as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating strategic objectives into actionable plans. A significant portion of your work will involve hands-on business analysis, where you will directly elicit, analyze, and document requirements. You will ensure that all deliverables are traceable and that the solution aligns perfectly with the defined business needs and technical constraints.

What you'll do
- Orchestrate end-to-end delivery planning, scheduling, and tracking for the engineering team, ensuring alignment with program milestones.
- Define and manage scope, identify and mitigate risks, and map dependencies across multiple workstreams in a dynamic banking environment.
- Facilitate and enhance agile ceremonies, including planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, to drive continuous improvement and team health.
- Serve as the primary point for stakeholder communication, providing clear status updates, reporting on blockers, and articulating timelines to leadership and business sponsors.
- Coordinate releases and manage cross-team dependencies to ensure smooth integration and deployment of solutions.
- Elicit, analyze, and document both functional and non-functional requirements with precision, ensuring all business needs are captured comprehensively.
- Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable technical user stories accompanied by robust acceptance criteria for the engineering team.
- Partner closely with the Tech Lead to define and document detailed system and API interactions, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment.
- Map, document, and analyze business processes and system interactions, creating visual representations such as sequence diagrams, BPMN, and detailed process maps.
- Maintain rigorous traceability between requirements, designs, and delivered work to ensure auditability and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Leverage AI tools judiciously for requirements drafting, documentation, and analysis, applying sound judgment regarding accuracy and applicability.
- Scope and write requirements for AI and agentic features, clearly defining agent behaviors, tool and function boundaries, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, and acceptance criteria for non-deterministic outputs.
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of 6+ years of combined Project Management and Business Analysis experience, demonstrating a proven track record in complex software environments.
- Include at least 2+ years of dedicated experience on banking and payments program initiatives, with a deep understanding of the domain challenges.
- Show extensive project delivery management experience within software teams, comfortably operating within Agile/Scrum frameworks and/or Kanban methodologies.
- Function effectively as a Technical Business Analyst, capable of holding detailed technical conversations with engineering professionals and understanding technical constraints.
- Demonstrate strong expertise in banking and payments domain knowledge, including a solid grasp of payments processing and modernization strategies.
- Exhibit conceptual fluency with modern cloud architectures, microservices design, API-first strategies, and event-driven system patterns, even if you do not code.
- Master requirements documentation and modeling techniques, producing clear user stories, precise acceptance criteria, and visual diagrams such as sequence and flow diagrams.
- Display superior stakeholder management abilities, with excellent written and verbal communication skills to interface effectively with diverse audiences.
- Be hands-on and proficient with delivery tooling, such as Jira for tracking and Confluence for documentation, or equivalent enterprise platforms.
- Apply AI and agentic skills with responsibility, understanding the importance of auditability, explainability, and data handling in financial services contexts.
- Show how these skills shape requirements and sign-off processes for AI-driven solutions, ensuring they meet governance and compliance standards.
- Maintain a practical understanding of concepts like MCP, RAG, and how intelligent agents consume APIs and events to perform complex tasks.

- Utilize diagramming and modeling tools such as Lucidchart, draw.io, Miro, or specific BPMN software to create clear visual artifacts.
- Leverage a background in software engineering or QA before transitioning into Project Management or Business Analysis roles.
- Hold Agile certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or Project Management certifications like PMP or PRINCE2.
- Deepen your payments experience with specialized knowledge in areas such as wire transfers, real-time payments, clearing and settlement processes, or regulatory and compliance reporting.
