We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join one of our international banking clients. In this role, you will play a key part in transforming, consolidating, and taking full ownership of their CI/CD infrastructure across multiple departments and applications. This is a highly specialized, hands-on engineering role where you will act as GitHub administrator, while ensuring seamless cloud integration. You will be solving complex deployment challenges-particularly within the .NET ecosystem-and driving automation, infrastructure modernization, and standardization across platforms.

What you'll do

• Architect and implement robust CI/CD automation strategies by designing, building, optimizing, and maintaining highly reliable pipelines using GitHub Actions across diverse banking departments and heterogeneous application landscapes.
• Assume platform ownership by acting as the primary administrator of the GitHub enterprise environment, enforcing governance models, security baselines, and operational best practices at an organizational scale.
• Drive standardization within the .NET ecosystem by building, documenting, and evangelizing specialized pipeline templates and deployment patterns that streamline the release lifecycle for .NET based banking applications.
• Engineer and manage cloud infrastructure as code by provisioning, maintaining, and iteratively improving environments using modern IaC practices to automate scalable and compliant banking workloads.
• Lead the technical stewardship of the existing CI/CD landscape, bringing order to disparate pipeline types, eliminating technical debt, and mentoring junior engineers on pipeline design principles.
• Implement and integrate advanced monitoring and observability regimes by configuring actionable insights and alerting mechanisms using tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Datadog, and Grafana.
• Champion security and compliance initiatives by embedding banking-grade controls, secrets management strategies, and infrastructure hardening techniques directly into the deployment pipelines and infrastructure definitions.
• Evaluate, certify, and promote the adoption of official GitHub certifications and advanced DevOps tooling to ensure the team operates with industry validated best practices and credibility.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration by partnering with development, security, and operations teams to define end-to-end deployment workflows that balance speed with risk management.
• Continuously explore and prototype emerging cloud native technologies on Azure and AWS to identify opportunities for performance gains, cost optimization, and architectural resilience.
• Establish and maintain rigorous documentation standards for all pipeline configurations, infrastructure changes, and operational runbooks to ensure clarity and continuity.
• Drive the modernization of legacy deployment processes by refactoring manual steps into automated, version controlled, and testable pipeline stages.
• Conduct in-depth troubleshooting of pipeline failures and environment inconsistencies, applying deep diagnostic skills to resolve issues in complex .NET based stacks.
• Define and execute a roadmap for infrastructure standardization, aligning pipeline strategy with business objectives and regulatory requirements across the banking sector.
• Act as a thought leader within the engineering organization by sharing knowledge through code reviews, internal workshops, and proof of concept demonstrations.

Requirements

• Bring a minimum of 5 years of cumulative professional experience in DevOps, Release Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure Architecture roles with demonstrable impact.
• Exhibit exceptional hands-on expertise in creating, managing, and troubleshooting intricate CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions in production scenarios.
• Demonstrate proven capability as a GitHub platform administrator, managing permissions structures, security policies, runner fleets, and enterprise governance features.
• Possess strong practical experience building and optimizing deployment pipelines specifically for .NET based applications and microservices.
• Show solid experience working with major cloud provider ecosystems, with a demonstrated preference for Azure proficiency or equivalent expertise in AWS.
• Maintain proven experience provisioning and orchestrating infrastructure using declarative tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or analogous IaC frameworks.
• Have practical, production grade experience with containerization technologies including Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Hold expected certifications including GitHub Foundations and GitHub DevOps Pipelines to validate core competencies.

Nice to have

• Complement your profile with experience using advanced monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Datadog, Grafana, and similar platforms.
• Apply knowledge of banking compliance frameworks, established security standards, and robust secrets management methodologies.
• Hold official certifications in Azure, for example the DevOps Engineer Expert credential, or comparable AWS certifications.
