The Sr UX/UI Designer Opportunity at Coderio represents a pivotal role within our product-centric delivery teams, where you will act as the primary advocate for the end-user throughout the entire product lifecycle. You will own the end-to-end user experience for a major client in the banking sector, ensuring that digital solutions are not only visually compelling but also intuitive, accessible, and aligned with complex business objectives. This position requires a strategic blend of research rigor, architectural thinking, and design execution to navigate intricate problems and translate ambiguous requirements into clear, user-centered directions. You will work hand-in-hand with technical and product stakeholders, leveraging your expertise to influence product decisions and elevate the quality of the digital experience. What you'll do
- Lead the discovery and synthesis phase for new digital products, conducting in-depth user research, contextual inquiries, and usability testing to uncover latent needs and pain points specific to the banking industry.
- Architect complex information structures and user flows, translating business requirements and user insights into coherent, scalable experiences that support multiple channels and touchpoints.
- Design detailed customer journey maps and service blueprints to visualize end-to-end experiences, identifying gaps, opportunities, and moments of friction within the financial ecosystem.
- Produce high-fidelity interactive prototypes and dynamic wireframes at varying levels of fidelity, facilitating iterative validation with stakeholders and real users to refine interactions and usability.
- Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineering Leads to assess technical feasibility, ensuring that design concepts can be effectively implemented within established constraints and timelines.
- Champion the evolution of the client's Design System by creating, documenting, and maintaining reusable components, patterns, and design tokens to ensure consistency and efficiency across products.
- Translate abstract product requirements into detailed UX specifications and visual design systems, delivering pixel-perfect interfaces for web and mobile applications that meet brand and accessibility standards.
- Act as the central UX authority within the squad, providing mentorship and guidance to more junior designers while elevating the collective capability of the team through feedback and knowledge sharing.
- Utilize data and qualitative feedback to continuously iterate on designs, applying UX metrics and analytics to validate hypotheses and drive evidence-based improvements.
- Represent the user's perspective in cross-functional discussions, articulating the value of design decisions to stakeholders and building consensus around product direction.
- Conduct co-creation workshops and facilitate collaborative sessions with business and technology partners to align on goals, explore concepts, and foster shared understanding.
- Maintain a strong focus on industry-specific challenges, applying deep knowledge of financial and banking regulations, security considerations, and user trust factors throughout the design process.
- Document design decisions and rationales thoroughly, creating clear artifacts that support handoff, future iterations, and long-term product strategy.
- Proactively identify risks and dependencies within the project scope, collaborating with delivery teams to mitigate issues before they impact timelines or user experience.
- Contribute to the broader design community within Coderio by sharing best practices, tools, and learnings to strengthen the organization's design culture and standards.
Requirements
- Bring a minimum of three years of professional experience as a UX/UI Designer, Product Designer, or an equivalent role focused on digital web and mobile product development.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive and verifiable understanding of the complete UX process, encompassing research, synthesis, information architecture, interaction design, prototyping, and usability validation.
- Exhibit advanced proficiency in Figma, including mastery of components, variants, auto-layout, shared styles, and interactive prototyping to produce high-quality design deliverables.
- Possess the ability to work autonomously while effectively communicating and defending design decisions across diverse departments and hierarchical levels.
- Show a proven track record of designing solutions for complex domains, with substantial experience in regulated sectors such as banking, fintech, or large-scale e-commerce environments.
- Hold a strong grasp of core design principles, including usability heuristics, accessibility guidelines, and information architecture best practices to ensure inclusive and intuitive interfaces.
- Communicate clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in writing, to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders and to advocate for user-centered design practices.
- Thrive in a collaborative setting, actively listening to feedback and integrating input from developers, product owners, and business stakeholders into the design process.
- Be prepared to adhere to a strict geographical requirement, as this position is open exclusively to candidates residing in Buenos Aires (Capital Federal and surrounding areas).

- Hands-on experience applying agile methodologies within cross-functional, multidisciplinary squads to deliver iterative design solutions.
- Familiarity with common UX metrics such as Net Promoter Score (NPS), Customer Satisfaction (CSAT), task success rates, and behavioral analytics to inform design decisions.
- Foundational understanding of frontend technologies like HTML and CSS to better comprehend technical constraints and improve collaboration with engineering teams.
- Demonstrated experience in facilitating workshops, co-creation sessions, and stakeholder alignment activities to drive collaborative problem-solving.

- This role operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring attendance at the Coderio office in the Microcentro zone of Buenos Aires three times per week.
- The position is designated as Full-Time, reflecting a long-term commitment to the strategic success of the client and the growth of the product team.
