Control Engineering relies on this role to automate regulatory and financial workflows. The Data Analytics Engineer processes data warehouse inputs to produce accurate reporting and reconciliations, ensuring stakeholders can meet critical obligations and that platform evolution is supported. The hire owns the design and execution of data solutions that align with stringent regulatory requirements. The Data Analytics Engineer works at the intersection of data engineering and business logic to solve high-stakes problems. This role requires a deep understanding of data flows to ensure the integrity of financial and compliance reporting. The solutions built directly enable the Control Engineering team to operate efficiently and meet external mandates.
Key facts
Data flows from a data warehouse into clean, correct regulatory and financial reports, including reconciliations, enabling Compliance, Finance, and Treasury teams to satisfy obligations.
You will translate requirements from Compliance, Finance, and Treasury stakeholders into clean designs and scalable solutions that address business needs and regulatory obligations within the platform.
As the tech lead, you will provide technical guidance through work prioritization, hands-on design and development, code reviews, and the evolution of technical standards and best practices for the Control Engineering team.
You will bring at least five years of software design and development experience covering CI/CD, source code control, testing, and quality management to ensure reliable delivery of scalable solutions in production.
You will demonstrate high proficiency in Python and SQL, database design, and experience with data warehouses like Snowflake to build complex solutions at scale.
You will operate with self-starter behavior, a sense of urgency, and an eagerness to learn and explore new technologies to solve business problems as they arise.
You will practice clear and concise communication with non-technical business stakeholders, product managers, and engineers to align on requirements and solutions.
You will perform logical troubleshooting and problem assessment to determine effective solutions for operational and regulatory workflows.
You will leverage experience in post-trade automation design and architecture to deliver solutions to complex data problems.
You will gain experience generating complex financial industry regulatory reports such as EMIR, MFID, SFTR, CPR, K Factor, and similar reports.
You will utilize primary tools including Python, SQL, Snowflake, Retool, Docker, Kubernetes, Argo, and Metaplane to build and maintain data pipelines.
You will work within a DevOps-oriented culture that emphasizes CI/CD methodology to ensure efficient and reliable data operations.
You will perform work from New York, NY, under a hybrid schedule that requires in-office presence four days per week.
You will understand that the role requires a degree and may involve travel as part of the responsibilities.
Requirements
