What you'll do
- Execute the strategy and oversee the outcomes for complex client portfolios with a high degree of ownership and accountability.
- Translate intricate and complex financial rules, regulations, and compliance requirements into clear, actionable, and easy-to-understand plans for diverse client stakeholders.
- Design, implement, and refine standardized intake routines and procedures to accurately capture comprehensive client data and establish clear, professional expectations from the outset.
- Shape and develop sophisticated financial models, reports, dashboards, and analytical frameworks to drive informed decision making and strategic planning for each individual client.
- Exercise full oversight and responsibility for all finance, accounting, and compliance reporting functions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
- Collaborate seamlessly and work closely with the internal Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Retirement Services Teams to ensure cohesive service delivery.
- Ensure the absolute accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of all financial information and reporting outputs as required by client needs and regulatory standards.
- Orchestrate the build, maintenance, and organization of comprehensive documentation, schedules, workpapers, and procedural manuals specifically for audit readiness and compliance purposes.
- Direct and manage partner interactions to provide exceptionally timely, accurate, and insightful answers to complex financial inquiries and strategic questions.
- Champion and own the monthly close process, driving efficiency and adherence to deadlines to keep all financial reporting on a rigorous and predictable schedule.
- Forge and cultivate strong pathways and productive relationships with external advisors, such as auditors, tax professionals, and legal counsel, to streamline compliance processes, filings, and regulatory requirements.
- Guard the integrity of financial systems, data, and reconciliation processes by continuously validating data flows, performing rigorous quality checks, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Proactively identify potential risks, discrepancies, or gaps in financial processes and reporting, and develop and implement effective mitigation strategies in partnership with the client.
- Serve as the primary financial point of contact and trusted advisor, ensuring all client deliverables are met or exceeded according to the highest standards of professionalism.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field, or demonstrate equivalent practical experience that demonstrates the required competencies.
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of progressive finance experience characterized by increasing scope, responsibility, and demonstrable impact in previous roles.
- Exhibit the proven ability to successfully manage multiple clients, complex deadlines, and competing priorities simultaneously while maintaining meticulous accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrate clear, concise, and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, when interacting effectively with finance professionals, senior leaders, and executive stakeholders.
- Be authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by an employer for this specific role.
- Commit to travel up to 25 percent of the time as required to meet client needs, support engagements, and participate in necessary in-person meetings across different regions.
