What you'll do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement blockchain solutions that meet client needs and enhance user experience.
• Participate in the architecture and deployment of scalable blockchain applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of blockchain applications to identify and resolve issues before deployment.
• Engage with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in blockchain technology to inform project decisions and strategies.
• Create detailed documentation for all development processes, including design specifications, user guides, and maintenance procedures.
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge on best practices in blockchain development and implementation.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools, advocating for innovative solutions that enhance productivity.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to provide technical insights that support business development efforts.
• Participate in community events and forums to represent Bamboohr and promote our solutions to potential clients.
• Analyze and optimize existing blockchain systems to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Work closely with the security team to ensure that all blockchain applications adhere to industry standards and best practices for security and compliance.

Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on blockchain technologies.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Solidity, JavaScript, or Go, and familiarity with blockchain platforms like Ethereum, Hyperledger, or others.
• Experience with smart contract development and deployment, as well as an understanding of consensus mechanisms and blockchain architecture.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, particularly in relation to blockchain deployment.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and orchestration technologies.
• Knowledge of cryptography and security protocols relevant to blockchain applications.
• Previous experience working in a startup environment or with agile development methodologies.
• Contributions to open-source blockchain projects or active participation in blockchain communities.

Skills & tools

Candidates should be well-versed in blockchain development tools and frameworks, including but not limited to Truffle, Ganache, and Remix. Familiarity with version control systems like Git is essential, as is experience with project management tools such as Jira or Trello. A solid understanding of RESTful APIs and web services is also beneficial.

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in work hours and the opportunity to collaborate with a global team. Candidates should be prepared for occasional travel for team meetings or industry events, depending on company needs.
