Bamboohr is seeking a creative and individual to join our team as a Photography & Multimedia Storytelling Associate. This full-time position will be based in the picturesque setting of Deep Creek, Eleuthera, where you will have the opportunity to capture and convey compelling stories through visual media. What you'll do

• Capture high-quality photographs and videos that align with Bamboohr's mission and vision, showcasing our projects and initiatives.
• Develop engaging multimedia content for various platforms, including social media, websites, and promotional materials.
• Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and conceptualize creative storytelling ideas that resonate with our audience.
• Edit and enhance visual content using industry-standard software to ensure a polished final product.
• Conduct interviews and gather testimonials from stakeholders to enrich multimedia narratives.
• Maintain an organized library of digital assets, ensuring easy access and proper categorization for future use.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in photography and multimedia storytelling to continuously improve content quality and engagement.
• Assist in planning and executing multimedia campaigns that promote Bamboohr's initiatives and projects to a wider audience.
• Participate in community events and activities to capture authentic moments and stories that reflect our organization's impact.
• Collaborate with external vendors, such as graphic designers and marketing specialists, to produce cohesive and compelling content.
• Provide support in managing social media accounts by creating visually appealing posts that align with our brand identity.
• Contribute to the development of training materials and resources that help educate others on effective storytelling through multimedia.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in photography, multimedia arts, communications, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience in photography and multimedia production.
• Proficiency in photography and videography equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio recording devices.
• Strong skills in photo and video editing software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
• Excellent storytelling abilities, with a knack for creating engaging narratives through visual media.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with team members.
• A portfolio showcasing previous work in photography and multimedia storytelling is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in drone photography or videography is a plus.
• Familiarity with social media marketing strategies and analytics tools.
• Knowledge of graphic design principles and experience using design software.
• Previous experience working in a nonprofit or community-focused organization.
• Ability to speak multiple languages, which can enhance storytelling efforts in diverse communities.

Skills & tools

The successful candidate will be well-versed in a variety of tools and technologies essential for multimedia storytelling. This includes proficiency in DSLR and mirrorless cameras, lighting equipment, and audio recording devices. Familiarity with editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere Pro is crucial for producing high-quality content. Additionally, understanding social media platforms and their best practices will be beneficial for disseminating visual stories effectively.
