The will play a pivotal role in fostering lasting relationships with alumni and enhancing their involvement with the organization. This position is designed for an individual who is passionate about building community and driving philanthropic initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage alumni, increase participation in giving programs, and strengthen the overall alumni network. This role requires a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and strong interpersonal skills to effectively connect with diverse alumni groups.

What you'll do
- Develop and execute a comprehensive alumni engagement strategy that aligns with Ceis's mission and goals, ensuring meaningful connections with alumni.
- Organize and manage alumni events, including networking opportunities, workshops, and reunions, to foster community and encourage participation.
- Create and maintain a robust alumni database to track engagement metrics, giving patterns, and volunteer involvement, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to produce engaging content for newsletters, social media, and other communication channels to keep alumni informed and connected.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key alumni to serve as ambassadors for Ceis, encouraging their involvement in fundraising and outreach efforts.
- Develop targeted fundraising campaigns aimed at alumni, utilizing storytelling and impact metrics to illustrate the importance of their contributions.
- Analyze alumni engagement trends and feedback to continuously improve programming and outreach efforts, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the alumni community.
- Work closely with the development team to align alumni engagement initiatives with overall fundraising goals, ensuring a cohesive approach to donor relations.
- Provide regular reports to senior leadership on alumni engagement activities, fundraising performance, and strategic recommendations for future initiatives.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for alumni inquiries, providing exceptional customer service and support to enhance their experience with Ceis.
- Collaborate with other departments within Ceis to create cross-functional initiatives that promote alumni involvement and support organizational objectives.
- Stay informed about best practices in alumni relations and fundraising, incorporating innovative ideas and strategies into Ceis's programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, nonprofit management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in alumni relations, fundraising, or community engagement, preferably within a nonprofit or educational setting.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful engagement strategies that drive alumni participation and giving.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse audiences and build meaningful relationships.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and data management tools to track engagement and analyze trends.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong analytical skills to assess program effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.

Nice to have
- Experience in event planning and management, particularly in a nonprofit context.
- Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and social media platforms for community engagement.

- Previous experience working with volunteers and managing volunteer programs.
- Advanced degree in a related field is a plus.
Skills & tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Experience with CRM systems, such as Salesforce or Raiser's Edge, for managing alumni data and engagement efforts.
- Familiarity with email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact) for alumni communications.
- Strong writing and editing skills for creating compelling content for various platforms.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports to inform decision-making processes.

- This position is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and may require occasional travel for alumni events and meetings.
