As a , you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our Inspection Center. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that every vehicle meets our rigorous 150-point quality standard. This position requires effective management of a sizable team within a lean manufacturing framework, focusing on achieving production targets, maintaining high-quality standards, and managing costs efficiently.

What you'll do

• Oversee the daily operations of the facility, managing a team that includes at least five leads and up to 70 front-line associates.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to staff through performance evaluations, training programs, and succession planning initiatives.
• Create and implement strategic plans that are in line with the overall objectives of the company.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and loss prevention standards throughout the facility.
• Handle the recruitment, training, and onboarding processes for new supervisory personnel.
• Assess production capacity and collaborate on planning efforts to optimize workflow.
• Spearhead continuous improvement projects and facilitate problem-solving discussions to enhance operational efficiency.
• Cultivate a positive workplace atmosphere that encourages teamwork and open communication among all employees.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to align operations with broader company goals and initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of operations and prepare reports for upper management as needed.
• Foster a culture of accountability and high performance within the team.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of management experience in the automotive sector or within a lean manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding and application of lean manufacturing principles.
• A valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving history for the last three years.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Availability to work weekends and overtime as required.
• Physical capability to walk up to 3 miles daily and remain standing for extended periods.
• Ability to perform physical tasks that involve stretching, reaching, stooping, and pulling.
• Capacity to lift items weighing up to 40 pounds independently.
• Comfort working in environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and vehicle odors.
• Willingness to utilize necessary safety equipment, including goggles, gloves, and protective clothing.

Nice to have

• Experience in the automotive reconditioning process or a related field.
• Familiarity with quality assurance methodologies and practices.
• Previous experience in a high-volume production environment.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and tools.
• Certification in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
