Automotive Tech - (Up to $6k Bonus)

About the role

You own the full lifecycle of vehicle reconditioning from initial inspection to final quality sign off, ensuring every car meets our strict standards before reaching our customers. You diagnose and repair a full range of automotive systems, performing everything from light maintenance to heavy engine work with precision and speed. You take ownership of complex electrical diagnostics, including advanced vehicle electrical issues on both electric and hybrid platforms, while maintaining strict safety protocols. You are responsible for completing repairs to wheel bearings and axles, as well as vehicle climate control systems including ACs and heater cores to exact specifications. You collaborate daily with a high-tech team environment, using state of the art tools in one of our Inspection Centers to drive continuous improvement. You contribute directly to our customer promise by ensuring every vehicle we sell reflects our commitment to quality, reliability, and transparency. You actively participate in mandatory overtime based on business needs to deliver an exceptional customer experience when it matters most. Key facts

What you'll do

Perform general to complex repairs on all makes and models, ranging from timing belts and suspension systems to heavy engine work.

Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues, including work on electric and hybrid vehicles.

Complete repairs for wheel bearings and axles, as well as vehicle climate control systems including ACs and heater cores.

Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and manufacturer specifications to identify root causes of vehicle malfunctions.

Conduct thorough inspections of incoming vehicles to identify imperfections and required repairs throughout the reconditioning process.

Execute precise repairs to mechanical, electrical, and structural vehicle systems while adhering to strict quality standards.

Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency in a fast-paced production environment.

Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment, including face shields, goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, and masks.

Collaborate with team members to meet production targets while ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

Continuously improve technical knowledge and skills through training programs, ASE certifications, and tool reimbursement opportunities.

Requirements

Must have a minimum of 3 years of professional automotive repair experience in a professional shop environment.

Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license, with some positions subject to an Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.

Must be able to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools, including the ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.

Must work effectively in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment while sometimes being exposed to excessive weather conditions such as heat and cold.

Must consistently use required safety equipment, including but not limited to face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments.

Must comply with all company policies, procedures, and quality standards while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail when diagnosing and repairing complex automotive systems.

Must be able to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic information to complete repairs accurately.
