About the role
Carvana seeks Autobody Technicians to join vehicle reconditioning operations. You will repair deep wheel damage, use a wheel repair machine, and paint and clear-coat wheels. This role focuses on delivering safe customer rides through meticulous daily quality checks. Entry pathways exist with training for eligible candidates who meet outlined criteria. You will be responsible for ensuring every wheel meets strict safety and visual standards before it leaves the facility. The position demands a high level of personal accountability for the quality of work performed on each wheel. Technicians in this role own the entire repair cycle from intake to final inspection. Success in this position is measured by the accuracy of repairs and the efficiency of processing wheels through the system.

What you'll do
Operate wheel repair machines and tools to reshape bent metal.
Paint and clear-coat surfaces after structural fixes meet inspection standards.
Coordinate intake steps so damaged wheels move smoothly through build queues.
Review completed work for defects before each wheel ships to customers.
Partner with logistics teams to maintain flow between stations and docks.
Guide new technicians through routines while upholding safety and quality bars.
Handle physical tasks including lifting up to sixty pounds during repair cycles.
Protect yourself by using required safety equipment in changing indoor conditions.
Perform detailed inspections to identify hidden flaws in wheel surfaces and structures.
Maintain cleaning standards for the work area to ensure safety and organization.
Adhere to all company procedures and safety protocols during every shift.
Utilize measuring tools to verify wheel dimensions are within required specifications.
Communicate effectively with team members to resolve workflow issues quickly.
Execute repair tasks with speed and precision to meet daily production targets.
Requirements
Hold a valid driver's license and be at least eighteen years old.
Possess a minimum of one year professional wheel and rim repair experience.
Reliably work in a fast environment where conditions change often.
Perform physical duties such as lifting heavy items and standing for entire shifts as needed.
Demonstrate the ability to follow complex instructions accurately and consistently.
Pass any required background checks and motor vehicle record reviews.
Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality for all scheduled shifts.
Work legally in the United States and provide documentation as required by law.

General qualifications include the ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools, including lifting up to sixty pounds independently. Must be at least eighteen years of age and possess a valid driver's license. Some positions may require a Motor Vehicle Records check. Candidates must work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment and may be exposed to excessive weather conditions. Use of required safety equipment includes but is not limited to face shields or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, masks, and other protective garments.
