The Quality Data Assurance role is embedded within this mission-focused environment, where you will safeguard the integrity of the final release process. You serve as the critical gatekeeper that ensures every product is documented correctly and is ready for shipment without error. Using only information from the source, this position owns the verification of manufacturing records, material certifications, and process documentation. You will connect individual components to their full assembly history, ensuring traceability and compliance with customer, regulatory, and company requirements.

What you'll do

Performing comprehensive verification of all product documentation, certifications, and quality records to ensure completeness and accuracy prior to customer shipment. Executing rigorous validation of manufacturing records, material test reports, and process certifications to confirm full traceability and compliance with contractual requirements. Conducting detailed reviews of customer-specific documentation and regulatory submissions to ensure adherence to specified requirements and industry standards. Supporting source inspection activities at supplier facilities, monitoring production processes, and verifying that quality data is captured correctly in real time. Coordinating directly with Production, Quality Engineering, and Inspection teams to resolve data discrepancies and implement corrective actions efficiently. Collaborating with Supply Chain and Program Management to track component traceability, manage documentation revisions, and mitigate risks associated with nonconforming materials. Partnering with Shipping and Logistics to confirm that all release documentation is complete and properly filed before products are authorized for dispatch. Maintaining strict version control and document management protocols to ensure that only current and approved records are used in release decisions. Utilizing analytical skills to interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and escalate potential quality issues before they impact delivery schedules. Serving as the central point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing clear explanations of quality records and compliance status for audit and review purposes. Applying systematic problem-solving techniques to investigate discrepancies, validate root causes, and verify that corrective actions are fully implemented. Promoting continuous improvement by identifying gaps in documentation processes and suggesting practical enhancements to strengthen the Quality Management System. Monitoring compliance with customer contractual terms, regulatory mandates, and internal procedures to reduce the risk of nonconformance and product release delays. Assisting in the preparation of audit packages and quality metrics, providing reliable data that supports internal assessments and external regulatory inspections.

Requirements

U.S. Citizenship is required for this position due to the nature of the defense and aerospace work performed at Hera Technologies. Candidates must possess a current Secret security clearance or be eligible to obtain one, as determined by the customer and company requirements. A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory; additional education or technical training in a related field is strongly preferred. Individuals must have a demonstrated history of working with quality data, manufacturing records, or certification documentation in a regulated environment. You must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check as part of the hiring process for contractor roles. Full eligibility to work in the United States is required, and documentation supporting this eligibility must be provided before assignment begins. You must comply with all company policies, customer requirements, and safety standards while working on-site or remotely as directed. Reliability is essential, and you must be prepared to meet all project deadlines and support production release schedules without delay.

Nice to have

Experience with aerospace or defense manufacturing quality systems is preferred. Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO related standards in the aerospace sector is advantageous.

Practical notes

This is a contractor position based in Ontario, California. Hours are determined by project needs and may include daytime support for production releases. Travel is not required for this role, though occasional site visits may be requested. Visa sponsorship is not available for this contractor role. This opportunity is contingent upon successful completion of background checks and security eligibility.
