About the role
C3 Ai is seeking a strategic and operational leader to define and own our global event portfolio. This role is central to how we execute our market presence and drive enterprise engagement. You will transform high-level corporate priorities into cohesive, high-impact experiences for our executive audiences and global customers. The position requires equal parts strategic vision and meticulous execution.
As the Director, Events Marketing, you are responsible for architecting the end-to-end strategy for C3 Ai's events. You will partner closely with Sales and Product teams to ensure every event advances core business objectives. Your work will span from the earliest concept stages to on-site execution, creating memorable moments that resonate with our stakeholders. You will build scalable frameworks and playbooks that allow our event program to grow in sophistication and efficiency alongside the company.
This is a high-visibility position that requires navigating both strategic planning sessions and the practical demands of event logistics. You will be the primary architect of our flagship annual conference, executive briefings, and a diverse portfolio of industry and partner events. Your decisions will directly shape how C3 Ai is perceived in the market and how we engage with our most critical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
You will own the strategic direction and operational success of C3 Ai's event initiatives. This involves setting the vision for our event portfolio and ensuring alignment with Sales and Product goals. You will serve as the key strategist for senior leadership, advising on where and how C3 Ai should make a presence at major industry gatherings. A core part of your role will be developing a repeatable, professional playbook for all event activities to ensure consistency and scalability.
On the execution side, you will manage the full lifecycle of our proprietary executive events. This includes crafting compelling messaging, overseeing complex logistics, managing branding and collateral, and directing vendor relationships. You will be responsible for comprehensive budget management, including contract negotiation and financial oversight for all corporate and field events. A critical function of this role is preparing executive briefings and regular status updates for leadership review.
You will also establish and manage key performance indicators for our events. This involves tracking performance within our CRM systems, creating detailed scorecards for each event, and producing reports that measure campaign effectiveness against pipeline and engagement targets. This analytical focus will help us understand the true business impact of our event investments.
Qualifications and Experience
To succeed in this role, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a closely related discipline. A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience managing corporate and agency event programs is required, with prior experience in an enterprise technology environment being highly advantageous.
You must have a proven track record of leading global, executive-level initiatives for organizations with complex stakeholder structures. Your experience should includes managing events where Global 2000 executives are primary participants. You will bring exceptional written and verbal communication skills, paired with a strong and confident executive presence.
Your project management abilities must be demonstrated through success managing multiple complex, concurrent programs under tight deadlines. You are analytical by nature, capable of defining metrics, interpreting data, and clearly articulating the link between event activities and business pipeline outcomes. Technical proficiency with tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft 365, Marketo, and Cvent is essential for success in this position.
Compensation and Location
This role is based in Redwood City, California, United States. The base salary range for this position is $162,700 to $203,400 annually. C3 Ai offers a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive equity compensation plan.
