About the role
Bybit is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join its Finance team in Vienna. This role is crucial for supporting the expansion of Bybit EU's regulated operations, focusing on corporate income tax, withholding tax, and overall tax governance. You will help shape the tax operating model for a leading digital asset platform in Europe.

What you'll do
- Lead direct tax compliance across various European entities, including corporate income tax and withholding tax.
- Support tax setup and ongoing compliance for entities regulated under MiCAR, EMI, and MiFID.
- Coordinate the preparation, review, and submission of corporate income tax returns, provisions, and related reports.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and tax authorities.
- Assist with tax audits, inquiries, and regulatory reviews.
- Offer tax guidance on new business initiatives, products, corporate projects, and operational changes.
- Monitor developments in Austrian, European, and international tax laws and assess their business impact.
- Support transfer pricing documentation, intercompany transactions, and cross-border tax issues.
- Maintain and improve tax governance frameworks, internal controls, and risk management processes.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Treasury, Compliance, Legal, and Product teams on tax matters.
- Drive process improvements, automation, and scalable tax processes.
- Support strategic projects, restructurings, licensing, and expansion activities from a tax perspective.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in direct tax, corporate tax, or international tax, preferably in financial services, fintech, crypto, banking, payments, or a multinational setting.
- Strong understanding of Austrian corporate income tax, withholding tax, and international tax principles.
- Experience managing tax audits and interacting with tax authorities and external advisors.
- Solid grasp of tax reporting, accounting, and risk management processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable collaborating across various internal teams (Finance, Legal, Compliance, Operations).
- Professional fluency in English.
Nice to have
- Experience in financial services, fintech, payments, or digital asset businesses.
- Exposure to transfer pricing and international group structures.
- Knowledge of crypto asset taxation and emerging European regulatory frameworks.
- Experience supporting regulated entities and interacting with supervisory authorities.
- Experience with ERP systems like NetSuite.
- Experience gained within a Big 4 tax practice, international tax advisory firm, financial institution, or multinational corporate tax function.
- Fluency in German.
