What you'll do
- Oversee daily operations of transaction risk control systems and maintain data visualizations to ensure clarity and accuracy.
- Support the extraction and analysis of large datasets to identify unusual transaction patterns and potential anomalies.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of current risk mitigation measures and their accuracy in detecting potential threats.
- Assist in compiling risk data and contributing to analytical reports that inform strategic decision-making.
- Monitor live trading activities to detect deviations from established risk parameters and policy guidelines.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to validate data integrity and ensure compliance with internal control standards.
- Utilize statistical methods to assess risk exposure and support the development of proactive control measures.
- Investigate flagged transactions and provide detailed summaries to help the team understand underlying issues.
- Maintain organized records of risk-related activities and documentation for audit and review purposes.
- Support the implementation of new risk indicators and logic within existing monitoring frameworks.
- Translate complex data findings into clear insights that non-technical stakeholders can understand and act upon.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of risk control processes by identifying areas for optimization.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss risk trends and share best practices with other departments.

Requirements
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or Big Data.
- Proficient in SQL for data retrieval and skilled in using Excel for data manipulation and basic modeling.
- Strong analytical and logical reasoning abilities with a meticulous approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative spirit to work well within a distributed team.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new concepts quickly and apply them in a practical, operational setting.
- A strong sense of responsibility and the capability to manage tasks independently with minimal supervision.
- Enrollment in a degree program that aligns with the quantitative requirements stated above.
- Familiarity with basic financial markets or trading concepts is beneficial but not mandatory.
