About the role
Bybit is seeking a Regulatory Quant & Intelligence Specialist to join its global compliance and quantitative analysis teams in Abu Dhabi and Hong Kong. This role focuses on interpreting financial regulatory frameworks, building quantitative models to assess compliance risk, and delivering intelligence insights that guide the company's market operations across multiple jurisdictions. The specialist will work closely with legal, compliance, and trading teams to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable, data-driven strategies that support Bybit's business objectives. The position plays a critical role in ensuring that Bybit maintains the highest standards of regulatory adherence while operating in the rapidly evolving digital asset space.

What you'll do
- Analyze regulatory documents and translate requirements into quantitative risk models for compliance assessment and monitoring
- Develop statistical frameworks to monitor trading activity against regulatory thresholds across multiple financial jurisdictions simultaneously
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to interpret evolving financial regulations in the digital asset and cryptocurrency sector
- Build interactive dashboards and automated reporting systems that track regulatory compliance metrics in real time
- Conduct scenario analysis to evaluate the potential impact of proposed regulatory changes on Bybit's global operations
- Gather and synthesize intelligence on regulatory developments from global financial authorities, policy bodies, and industry sources
- Support the design and implementation of internal controls and monitoring systems aligned with regulatory expectations and standards
- Present detailed findings and actionable recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders across both offices
- Maintain and update quantitative models as regulatory landscapes shift across Abu Dhabi, UAE and Hong Kong SAR markets
- Coordinate with regional teams to ensure local regulatory requirements are accurately reflected in day-to-day compliance workflows
- Identify patterns and trends in regulatory enforcement actions to inform proactive compliance strategies and risk mitigation
- Assist in preparing regulatory submissions and documentation required by financial authorities in both Abu Dhabi and Hong Kong
- Support the development of regulatory impact assessments for new product launches and market expansion initiatives globally
- Evaluate the effectiveness of existing compliance controls and recommend improvements based on quantitative analysis and regulatory intelligence
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in quantitative finance, mathematics, statistics, or a closely related analytical and computational discipline
- Strong understanding of financial regulatory frameworks, particularly in digital asset, cryptocurrency, and fintech market sectors
- Demonstrated proficiency in statistical modeling, risk assessment, and quantitative data analysis methodologies and techniques
- Ability to interpret complex regulatory texts and convert them into structured, reproducible quantitative frameworks and tools
- Hands-on experience working with compliance or regulatory functions in financial services, fintech, or related industries
- Excellent analytical thinking with careful attention to detail in high-stakes regulatory and compliance decision-making environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting technical findings to non-technical business and leadership audiences
- Willingness to work across multiple time zones spanning Abu Dhabi, UAE and Hong Kong SAR on a regular basis
Nice to have
- Familiarity with regulatory technology platforms and compliance automation tools commonly used in modern financial services
- Prior experience in a quantitative research or intelligence analysis role within a regulated financial or fintech industry
- Knowledge of Middle Eastern and Asian financial regulatory environments, including ADGM and HKMA regulatory frameworks specifically
- Graduate degree in a quantitative or financial discipline with a focused concentration on risk management or regulation
