About the role

Bybit is seeking a data professional to monitor and improve our VIP and Earn product ecosystems. You will transform complex user behavior data into strategic insights to drive growth, retention, and monetization across our global platform. In this capacity, you will serve as the primary analytical lead for VIP and Earn initiatives, owning the end to end lifecycle of data projects related to user engagement and revenue optimization. You will partner closely with executive stakeholders to translate business objectives into robust analytical frameworks and reporting structures. The role demands a high level of ownership over data quality, metric definitions, and insight delivery to ensure that decisions are based on reliable evidence. You will be responsible for diagnosing performance gaps, forecasting trends, and articulating recommendations that directly influence product strategy and user experience. This position requires a balance of technical rigor and business acumen to navigate complex datasets and deliver clear narratives that guide action.

What you'll do

• Analyze VIP user behavior throughout their lifecycle, including tier changes, trading patterns, and churn risks using cohort and trend analysis.
• Build and maintain automated dashboards to track VIP program performance and Earn product health, ensuring stakeholders have access to real time insights.
• Perform deep-dive investigations into Earn product metrics such as yield trends, asset allocation, and subscription flows to uncover root causes of variance.
• Identify high-value segments and model LTV to provide data driven recommendations for VIP tier design, benefit structures, and incentive optimization.
• Ensure data integrity across all VIP and Earn systems by resolving metric discrepancies, documenting transformations, and validating data sources.
• Support cross functional teams with ad hoc requests, A/B test evaluations, and feature impact assessments, maintaining a consistent methodology for analysis.
• Develop and manage ETL pipelines and data models for relevant datasets, focusing on scalability, performance, and clarity of logic.
• Collaborate with marketing, finance, and product departments to standardize reporting, define key metrics, and align on definitions for consistency.
• Monitor product usage patterns and engagement signals to detect early signs of friction, enabling proactive adjustments to improve user journeys.
• Contribute to the governance of analytics tools and data standards, promoting best practices in documentation, version control, and reproducibility.

Requirements

• Fluent in both Mandarin and English, written and spoken, to ensure precise communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business intelligence or data analysis, demonstrating a track record of delivering insights in fast paced environments.
• Professional background in fintech, wealth management, loyalty programs, or financial products, ensuring relevance to the domain complexity.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and at least one analytical language, specifically Python or R, to manipulate data and build analytical models.
• Hands on experience with visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI, enabling the creation of clear and interactive dashboards.
• Demonstrated expertise in user lifecycle modeling, including LTV, churn, retention, and activation, to quantify user value over time.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and coordinate across multiple time zones while maintaining productivity and alignment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy and actionable output, ensuring that findings are both technically sound and business relevant.
• Willingness to adhere to established data governance policies, documentation standards, and compliance requirements relevant to financial services.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate progress transparently without direct supervision.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of crypto specific financial products like staking, DeFi yield mechanisms, or structured products, providing context for similar analytical challenges.
• Prior experience analyzing tiered loyalty programs or private banking systems, offering familiarity with complex tier and privilege structures.
• Background in machine learning, forecasting, or statistical analysis, enhancing the depth of predictive and prescriptive insights.
• Previous work experience within a digital asset platform or cryptocurrency exchange, supporting faster adaptation to domain specific nuances.
