Business Analyst
Job description
About the role
This role turns data and insights into concrete actions for Consumer products. The analyst drives decisions and aligns execution with strategic goals.
Analysts turn data into clear answers. They pull numbers, clean data, build dashboards, and explain what changed and why. The work supports decisions across sales, product, marketing, and operations. Strong analysts pair technical skill with business curiosity. Analysts are the bridge between data and decisions. Most analysts own recurring reports and are expected to improve them over time.
Key facts
What you'll do
Strategy, roadmap, and commercial outcomes for key Consumer areas are shaped through analysis and targeted recommendations.
Business Leads and Product Managers uncover product opportunities, frame problems, and set priorities together.
Dashboards, reports, and analysis are created so teams can see performance, spot problems, and find openings.
Product and Engineering teams refine requirements, balance trade-offs, and help deliver features that reach customers.
Competitors, customer behavior, and market trends are tracked to find ways to stand out and grow share.
A clear rhythm for tracking performance, testing ideas, launching products, reviewing products, and evaluating business is established.
Requirements
Experience in business analysis, product analytics, product operations, strategy, growth, fintech, crypto, payments, consulting, or consumer technology.
Comfort with data, business modeling, funnels, unit economics, pricing, conversion, retention, and profitability is necessary.
Data, customer insights, and business problems are turned into clear product suggestions.
Product judgment and a strong interest in customer-facing products guide decisions.
Collaboration with Product and Engineering includes defining needs, setting priorities, and supporting execution.
Communication skills enable clear presentation of findings to cross-functional stakeholders.
Operating in a fast-moving, uncertain context feels natural.
Ownership, attention to detail, and readiness to work on both analysis and hands-on product tasks are expected.
Interest in crypto, fintech, consumer products, and high-growth markets is required.
Practical notes
Personal data you submit will be processed to manage recruitment, including interviews and tests, and may be transferred to the United States.
Typical interview steps
Analyst interviews often include a SQL or spreadsheet exercise, a case question, and behavioral rounds. Candidates may be asked to analyze a dataset, define a metric, or estimate an outcome. Presenting findings clearly is tested as often as the analysis itself. Interviewers often test speed and clarity with a timed exercise. Explaining what the numbers mean, not just what they are, is the differentiator.
Good to know
The role uses dashboards, reports, and data analysis to communicate performance and opportunities.
General knowledge about fintech, crypto, and consumer products helps in understanding the business context.
Analytical thinking, clear communication, and ownership are central to succeeding in this position.
Questions to ask
Good questions to ask the employer in the interview: what does success look like in the first six months, how is the team structured, what is the current biggest challenge, and how are decisions made. Asking about growth paths and the review process is also well received. Employers expect questions, and good ones show preparation.
Career growth
Analyst careers can grow into senior analyst, analytics manager, or data science roles. Some analysts move into product or business operations. Deeper technical skills or broader business ownership are the two main paths. Analyst roles are a common on-ramp into product, marketing, or operations leadership. Building deep domain knowledge alongside analytics is the fastest path.
