About the role
You will own your assigned territory end to end, driving every stage of the sales process with direct in-person engagement. You will act as the primary face of Square and Afterpay, embedding into the local business community to build trust and long-term partnerships. Your days will be spent actively meeting sellers, diagnosing their needs, and demonstrating how integrated software and hardware can transform their operations. You will generate your own pipeline, execute full-cycle sales motions, and close deals across the entire product suite with confidence. This role demands strategic thinking, disciplined execution, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment. You will be measured by your ability to consistently exceed quotas and contribute to the long-term growth of Square in your market.

What you'll do
Conduct approximately 50 to 60 targeted business visits each week while spending roughly 80% of your time actively working in the field.
Run a complete end-to-end sales motion that includes generating leads, identifying business needs, delivering tailored demonstrations, and closing deals across Square's full range of products and services.
Establish yourself as the definitive Square expert in your city by building trust-based, value-driven relationships with local sellers.
Partner closely with internal support functions to guarantee a smooth onboarding process and rapid time-to-value for every new customer.
Implement a structured referral strategy designed to convert every new customer into a sustainable source of future opportunities.
Develop a repeatable top-of-funnel system through door-to-door outreach, active community participation, event engagement, networking, and strategic partnerships.
Collaborate with channel partners to cultivate a consistent and high-quality stream of referrals that grows over time.
Deepen expertise within critical verticals such as restaurants, retail, and services to accurately identify challenges and present the most relevant Square solutions.
Sell in a consultative and competitive manner, staying proactive and strategic at every stage of the sales cycle.
Maintain rigorous operational discipline in Salesforce by meticulously tracking activity, managing pipeline, and producing accurate forecasts.
Measure your performance on a regular basis and pursue continuous improvement in every aspect of your sales process.
Consistently exceed your assigned sales quota while operating within a culture that upholds the highest standards of performance.
Requirements
Demonstrate a proven ability to execute in a fast-paced, high-pressure sales environment without losing focus or quality.
Show a strong commitment to owning your pipeline from creation to close, including diligent follow-up and persistent deal management.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills that enable you to clearly articulate complex product value to diverse audiences.
Have the physical capacity and willingness to conduct a high volume of in-person meetings, often involving extended periods of standing and walking.
Be comfortable working autonomously and making rapid decisions while maintaining accountability for results.
Bring a competitive mindset and the resilience to perform consistently even when facing rejection or challenging market conditions.
Exhibit strong time management and organizational skills to balance multiple priorities, manage a large volume of prospects, and meet strict quotas.
Have a track record of consultative or solution-based selling experience in dynamic environments.
