Software Engineer - Infrastructure
Job description
About the role
Blend builds cloud banking software that handles over 5 billion dollars in daily loan volume for clients like Wells Fargo and U.S. Bank. This role is centered on platform engineering where you will own the design and execution of the internal systems that power our development lifecycle. You will be responsible for creating the foundational tools that allow engineers to build, deploy, and monitor applications with speed and confidence. The position requires a deep partnership with software teams to ensure infrastructure solutions align with business objectives and technical standards. You will drive initiatives that enhance reliability, security, and scalability across the entire platform landscape. This role is critical for establishing the guardrails and automation that enable our engineering organization to operate at scale. You will have direct influence on the architecture decisions that define how our services run in production. Success in this position is measured by the robustness of the platforms you build and the productivity you enable for hundreds of developers.
